What is a lay flat photo book?
Our innovative binding technique allows your photo book to "lay flat" so there is virtually no interruption in photos that span the middle. Every seamless page is printed on thick, premium paper with a luxe matte finish for a professional look. For more details please click here
Will my project print with actual stickers or textured embellishments on the final print?
As we are a digital scrapbooking site, all of our embellishments and stickers are digitally printed on to your cards, books, and calendars.
Do you print your logo on your products? Can I request that it be removed?
Yes, we print our logo on all products. The very last page of the book is a white sheet with our company logo on it. The logo is printed on the back cover of cards and calendars. At this time we cannot remove the logo from our products.
I would like to upload my pre-made pages that I made in another editing program. What's the best way to do this?
Open your project in edit mode then click the "Backgrounds" tab. Click the "Browse Backgrounds" button then go to the "Upload Backgrounds" tab to see the pixel requirements for your particular project. You can view more detailed steps on how to upload your pre-made pages here
How long does it take for a Mixbook product to be printed and sent?
It takes approximately 3-5 business days to process and print your order before it is shipped out to you. Shipping time depends on the shipping method selected. You can view estimated shipping times on our Shipping
Do you make any enhancements to the photos before printing?
We do not currently make any enhancements to your photos -- they will not be auto corrected or touched up before printing.
Can I save my book to my home computer? Can I print my Mixbook out at home?
Due to the software we use, there is currently no way to save your book to your home computer or print it at home at this time.
I purchased a wedding guest book from you, what kind of pens should I use on the pages?
We recommend using a permanent fine-tip pen that is acid free. You can find these at craft stores or scrapbooking stores. You can also use ultra-fine tipped permanent pens, as those will not smear - but we always recommend using acid free permanent pens on our books.
What kind of paper do you print on and how are the books bound?
For our traditional photo books we use a silk, semi-gloss, 100 lb. paper that is both acid and lignin-free. We use Electroink 4.0 for printing, which is also acid-free. Currently we print on heavy, glossy stock for soft covers, while the hard covers are printed on a glossy, laminate cover which is adhered to a hard book case. Our leather books are bound with a black bonded leather adhered to a hard book case. Our leather books additionally come with a dust jacket that wraps around the leather cover.
Layflat: Unlike a traditionally bound book, each spread in your book is printed on an uncut sheet of premium, acid-free and archival paper backed by cardstock. The finished pages have a heavy feel, and the individual pages do not bend easily. When your book is open, the book lays flat, and you do not need to hold the individual pages down. As the center binding is one sheet of paper and not two, there are no concerns about having your designs or photos be lost in the 'gutter' or the center of the book. Go on, we encourage you to showcase your high resolution photos in double-page spreads!
What kind of paper do you print cards on?
We offer three different cardstock options: Satin Coated, Signature Matte, and Premium Matte. The Satin Coated card stock is a 111 lb., 14 pt, silk paper stock with an elegant silk finish, which gives the cards a subtle sheen. The Signature Matted card stock is a 100 lb., 12 pt, uncoated paper stock. Our Premium Matte card stock is 130 lb., 16 pt, with a luxurious matte finish.
Do cards come with envelopes?
All card orders will ship with matching premium white envelopes.
What kind of paper do you print calendars on?
Our calendars are printed on 100 lb. card stock.
What kind of covers do you have? Do you have dust jackets?
We offer hardcover, softcover, and leather covers. Only leather covers come with a glossy laminated dust jacket with scored 3" flaps. This dust jacket will include the cover images you design in the Mixbook Editor. Please note that your cover design will not print on the leather directly.

How many pages can my Mixbook have?
Due to our binding process, each book must have a minimum of 10 pages. If a book has less than 10 pages, we will add blank pages until the page count minimum has been reached. This is done to retain the binding's integrity and strength. Currently our general photo books can have a maximum of 399 pages and our Layflat books can have a maximum of 99 pages - though we are continuously working to increase the page limit.
