5 Ideas for a Valentines Day Baby Announcement

5 Ideas for a Valentines Day Baby Announcement

Love is already in the air, so there's no better time to share the news of a pregnancy or a brand-new addition to the family than Valentine's Day. If you're letting family and friends in on your little secret or you're introducing them to your picture-perfect baby, there are several creative ways to do it on social media and through traditional photo birth announcements. Whether you're snapping the shots yourself or you're hiring a pro to show off your baby bump, we have a great way for you to tell everyone your family is growing.

These are a few of our favorites.

Valentine's Day Baby Announcements for Social Media

Nothing tugs at the heartstrings like a sweet pregnancy announcement, so Valentine's Day is definitely the right time to share the news with the people you love. Here's how.

1. Write a Love Letter

On a pink, heart-shaped piece of paper, combine your own script with candy hearts to create a beautiful message to family and friends. Dig for hearts that say awesome, sweet pea, and I love you to mix-and-match your note. Try something like:

"Happy Valentine's Day! We have awesome news - we're expecting a sweet pea of our very own. Little one, I love you and can't wait to see you!"

2. Pose With Heart Cutouts

Holding a cute, larger-than-life candy heart cutout is a great way to show off your baby bump and tell your whole social network that you're expecting. Hearts that say love and baby pretty standard, but you can mix things up with XOXO and little one or create your own message.

3. Mathematical Hearts

Snap a photo of tiny heart cutouts marked with numbers to create a super-cute Valentine's Day announcement for social media. Write 2 + 1 = 3 (with one number or symbol on each heart); leave a few inches and line up hearts that say your due date below it. Run the photo through your favorite editing app and caption it, "We're excited to announce a sweet addition to our family."

4. Heart Strings

Create a string-and-heart banner with multicolored heart cutouts. Make one cutout larger than the rest and stick a copy of your ultrasound photo right in the center; that's the centerpiece. Alternate heart colors along the rest of the string and pose with your other half. Each of you hold one end of the banner for an adorably unforgettable photo.

5. Get Poetic

Using a small, portable chalkboard, write the world's best-known poem with a twist: "Roses are red, violets are blue. Cupid's been busy, because a baby is due." Add your due date to the bottom of the board and pose with your family to get the perfect shot.
