1: The | Roaring | Twenties

2: Prohibiton Prohibition is a law that said the making selling importing and expoting is illegal. In the 1900's prohibtion was very common in the U.S .

3: Women played an important role in the 1920's and 1930's. | Women sometimes worked, but in the Roaring Twenties they went dancing an had fun.

4: There were a lot of new products and technologies during the Roaring Twenties, some included radios and automobiles.

5: The Jazz Age period was from 1918-1929. This period was when American society began to develop an interest in Jazz Music in the U.S.

6: Sports became very popular in the 1920's. There were several sports that were invented and there were many legendary players that played in this time period as well.

7: Dancing was a huge part of people's lives in the 1920s. People thought it was a good way to express their emotions.

8: Movies in the 1920s wre also a huge part of people's lives. The movie industry grew and many people spent their time in the cinemas.

9: Art was big in the 1920's A lot of artists were discovered and a lot of people were inspired to paint. The Roaring Twenties was a huge art decade.

10: Fashion was an important part of people's lives. | It was the time when people began to wear more confortable clothes | Also fashion entered its modern era during this time period.

11: The Harlem Renaissance was when African Americans started joining things like entertainment and started acting dancing and playing sports.

12: The Great Depression

13: When the stock market crashed in 1929, many people's lives were affected. People that invested in the stcok market's shares were barely worth any money anymore.

14: During the Dust Bowl everybody was covered in dirt and dust. | It was a miserable time in the 1920s and 1930s.

15: The Bank Holiday of 1933 closed for a couple of days to ensure that the banks were safe for people to keep their money in.

16: There was a lot of organized crime in the 1920's | American Gangsters were constantly stealing money

17: When banks closed many people were greatly affected.

18: During the Great Depression people started to lose their jobs because the companies couldn't afford to pay them.

19: A lot of people were unemlpyed during the great depression, the highest amount of people in the world that were ever unemployed . | Unemployment

20: The 1920's and 1930's were almost like a roller coaster. There were some good thigns and some bad thing s that happened to people in the United States. One last good thing was...(turn the page)!

21: Frankin Roosevelt tried his best to make everything better with bank holidays and everything he did to make the economy better.
