FC: Osaka, Japan 2007
Dedicated to my lovely aunts: Rebecca and Susan- Thank you for taking me to Japan and loving me as your own daughter!
day 1 (5.30.07) Had to be at the airport at 8. Although we got very little sleep the night before, thankfully we all woke up in time.
After arriving at the Osaka airport in the afternoon, we went straight to the city of Nara and visited the Todai-Ji temple.
After a wonderful dinner, we walked around the streets of Hanamikoji and explored the wonders of little shops filled with Japanese shoes, make-up, and sampled lots of goodies lined up on the street.
day 2 (5.31.07) The city of Kyoto was next on our list. We rode the Sagano Romantic Train, had afternoon tea, and after a bento boxed lunch, we visited the Golden Pavilion-Rokuonji Temple (right). We ended the day in this city meandering Nijo Castle and its garden (right).
Early in the evening, the tour bus took us to the city of Kobe. We ate dinner at the Mosaic and shopped around Kobe's harborland (left). Right before it closed, we grabbed a couple of desserts at Bee's Sweet Harbor. Since we were still energetic, we walked back to the Mosaic and gazed out at the city lights till bedtime.
day 3 (6.1.07) We stayed in the city of Kobe. Browsed through the Weathercock House and Kobe Herb Park (right).
With happy stomachs, we went to see the Akashi Bridge, world's longest suspension bridge (right). | For lunch, we had an all-you can eat ....crab buffet and all kinds of seafood for lunch. (Remember, you have to dip your meat in vinegar)
To end the afternoon, we bathed at the Arima Spa (left). In celebration of my birthday-a couple days early, we had a midnight snack of mini cheesecakes and green tea before we retired for the night. They were so good!
day 4 (6.2.07) Back to the city of Osaka. We played all day at Universal Studios.
day 5 (6.3.07) We left Osaka, Japan
