FC: Arctic Fox | By: Taylor Davis Brasher 1st Block
1: Alopex Lagopus is the scientific name for the arctic fox.
2: The height of an avergage arctic fox is 10-12 inches, and the weight is 6-10 pounds.
3: Mating occurs in early March and early April. Gestation last 52 days.
4: The habitat of an Arctic Fox is in the following areas: Northern and Western Alaska and Canada, Northeast Alberta, Northern Manitoba, Northern Quebec, Russia, and Greenland.
5: Arctic Foxes feed primarily on small animals such as, lemmings and tundra voles.
6: The Arctic Fox's fur changes colors according to which season it is, in order for them to beable to hide from predators. In the summer it is a rusty brown color, and in teh winter it is snow white.
