S: Right Behind You

BC: I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes plot twists and wondering, "What'll happen next?"

1: The book i read was Right Behind You by Gail Giles. the plot started with the protagonist, a boy named Kipp. Kipp was a 9 year old boy in Alaska whose mom had just died of cancer. His aunt and dad always fought for custody and this always made Kipp edgy. One day as they were fighting, a boy that was seven came through with his new birthday present, a baseball glove. The birthday boy was all giddy about his new baseball glove.But, he took a step too far when he said that, "I bet your mom couldn't afford a glove this nice for you" Kipp was infuriated. He blacked out and grabbed a lighter and a can of gas that was sitting on the table next to him and he lit the boy on fire.

2: After that Kipp is sentenced to time in a children's psych ward. He spent 5 years in there.

3: Upon his release from his incarciration, he had to change his name. He went from Kipp to Wade. Wade was the identity of a kid who came from the boonies in Alaska who was out of the social norm.

4: At his new school he made friends, had a girlfriend and becomes the swimteams mvp. (Insert Michael Phelps joke here)

5: Unfortunately, he gets drunk one night at a celebration party, and flips out, revealing his secret, he forces his family to move away. Fortunately, his stepmom just acquired a beach house, (how she acquired it, not so fortunate). So they, (Wade, his dad, and stepmom), head for the beach.

6: At the beach, Wade meets Sam, a girl who he falls in love with. Sam had a problem. She was known everywhere around her town as a drunk, and a strumpet.

7: In the end of the story Sam tells Wade about her problems, and They still remain friends.
