I haven't read this book in a long time. In the early days of Mixbook, a common occurrence would be a shout from someone coding of "Roxy!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" This book is so great but so sad. We read it again and again!

Sorry for the lose of the dog. My dog died because a other dog killed it.

FC: Roxie The Boxer

This book is dedicated to, not only man's best friend, but any dog lovers out there who have loved a pet as if they were a family member. That is how we felt about our Boxer dog, Roxie. The Best Dog EVER!

My husband, Bobby and I decided after a year of marriage, it was time to expand our family. NO, not with kids, we were looking for a puppy. Our neighbor got a 2 month old Boxer puppy that I fell in love with - he told me they had one female puppy left. Of course we rushed to get the dog that day! When we got to the Breeder's house, this poor little, pathetic looking female puppy was about two breaths away from dying. She was in bad shape. The Breeder gave her to us for FREE because he didn't think she was going to make it. We took her to the Vet, got her fixed up and named her Roxie. From that moment on, she was more like my first born child than a dog. In the following pages, you will see why. . .

Roxie and Angie posing for pictures | Roxie and Bobby in the kitchen wanting to know "what's for dinner?

Roxie dressed up in her workout suit | Jump higher Roxie, you have to get your exercise!

Roxie loved to dress up ~ she had many outfits depending on her mood!

This was her Sunday "Go To Church" outfit

This was her "Going Out On The Town" Outfit

Roxie knew it was good to color coordinate your shoes & purse!

Roxie's ready to help Bobby cheer the Carolina Panther's Football team with her Panther's Hat and matching jacket!

At the end of the day, it's time to kick back in your bedroom slippers

In January 2000, something happened to change her world forever. We were going to have a baby! Roxie started helping right away by getting used to the nursery!

and learning to play games to teach the baby

I guess since a baby's coming, I'll have to help earn my keep around here.

Don't worry, there will still be time for play Don't worry, there will still be time to play!

Speaking of play. . . here she is playing Jenga

Oh no, Roxie, don't eat the dice!

You're still the coolest pup around

It's nice to know that you have your priorites straight ~ taking time out of your busy schedule of dressing up and playing games like "Jenga" to read the Bible!

Roxie sun bathing out on the deck

Roxie, You were the best dog anyone could ever have. You brought our family many days of joy and gave us great memories. I hope that the animated movie "All Dogs Go To Heaven" is correct, I would love to see you again some day! We loved you and we're heartbroken when your life was taken way too short by cancer! Love, The Mauers
