FC: My Inferences from No, David by David Shannon
Good readers make inferences. To make inferences, I put together what I already know with clues from the story.
I infer that David likes reading about space. The picture shows him picking a book with a rocket on it, and I usually read books I like.
I see the table tipping, and that usually means things spill. I infer that the fish bowl will spill.
I infer that David's teacher is mad. Sometimes when my teacher gets mad, she stands like his teacher does in the book.
When David's mom sees his mess, she made this face. I infer that she is mad because this is what my mom looks like when she is mad at me.
