BC: There are many other musicians of the Harlem Reniassance, but those were some of the more famous ones.

FC: Some Famous Musicians of the Harlem Renaissance

1: Duke Ellington. . . known for being one of the greatest jazz composers and performers.

2: Louis Armstrong. . . the jazz leader.

3: Bessie Smith. . . one of the most popular blues singers of her time.

4: Ma Rainey the Mother of Blues. . . came up with many popular songs and dances with her husband Pa Rainey.

5: Marian Anderson. . . was the first black woman to recieve the Bok Award from the city of Philadelphia.

6: Fletcher Henderson. . . had his own orchestra that played Swing.

7: Jelly Roll Morton. . . one of the first piano players and composers of jazz. His smile was known as the "diamond studded smile".

8: Fats Waller. . . a man who had a humorous and joyous style of performing and composing.
