BC: cc. Class 94i International School of Geneva Campus des Nations 2009

 How to make bread rolls

Gather all the materials you'll need, like a mixing bowl, a wooden spoon, a measuring cup, and some wax paper.

Crumble 20 grams of yeast into a measuring cup filled with 3 dl warm water.

Add a 1/2 tsp. sugar to the yeast and water.

Let the yeast mixture sit on a heater for 10 minutes.

 It will begin to bubble.

Measure out 500 grams of flour on a scale. Then pour it into a large mixing bowl.

 Add 1 tsp. salt.

Pour the yeast mixture into the bowl with the flour.

 Stir together well.

 Now you have the dough!

Put a damp towel over the ball of dough and let sit for 45 minutes.

 The yeast makes it grow!

Wash your hands. Then put a little flour on them so the dough doesn't stick too much.

Work the bread with your hands. Make it into a little ball.

Now you have the dough! | Put all the dough balls on a baking sheet covered in wax paper. Cover with a wet towel and let sit for 30 minutes.

Brush a little bit of water onto each dough ball, and then make a little x with a knife on the tops.

Bake in the oven at 220 degrees Celsius for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Et voila! Beautiful bread rolls!

Draw a picture of a bread roll in your tasting passport.

Taste your bread roll. How do you like it?

Draw a picture of a face next to your picture of the roll. If you liked the roll, make it a happy face. If you didn't like it, make it a sad face.
