FC: Passport to Stories Around the World China Mrs. Gross' PM Class

1: A-Z China by Justine and Ron Fontes Explores the history, geography, economy, people, culture, and other aspects of China, featuring a topic for each letter of the alphabet.

2: Facts we learned about China The Great Wall of China is more than 4,000 miles long. Six tall men would have to stand on top of each other to reach the tallest part of the wall. It is so big that astronauts can see its shadow from space. The celebration for Chinese New Year lasts two weeks. It begins at the end of January.

3: Music The students continued to learn about China through song in Music class with Mrs. Kotzky. They learned the following songs. "Ee jer ha ba go" - "The Hungry Dog" "Fong Swei" - "School is Out" "Speak Another Language" by Patricia Shih

4: Lon Po Po: A Little Red Riding story from China by Ed Young

5: Three sisters staying home alone are endangered by a hungry wolf who is disguised as their grandmother.
