2: *Russia is the largest country on Earth. *Snow covers over half of Russia for six months every year.

3: The Matreshka is a traditional Russian doll. It can have as many as 12 dolls nesting inside one another.

4: *New Year's Day is the most popular holiday in Russia. Almost everyone decorates a New Year tree and has a party.

5: *During the summer in the south it gets hotter than 100 degrees, but in the winter in the north it has reached 100 degrees below zero.

6: *Lake Baikal is the deepest lake in the world.

7: *Many Russian kids like American movies and music.
