FC: Young Goodman Brown A Children's Book reviewing the Work of Nathaniel Hawthorne By Randy S. Williams, Sr.
Young Goodman Brown loved and cherished his beautiful wife, Faith.
But he had to leave her for a journey. So he left her with a kiss and a wave.
On his journey, Brown met up with a man. This man was scary and worried him.
Brown traveled for a while with this stranger through the dark and enchanted woods.
On their journey together they encountered a woman that appeared to be a witch.
Brown was so scared that he decided that he wanted to rest (actually though, he just wanted to get away from his unknown partner).
Brown, all alone now on a tree stump, heard the voices of people he thought he knew. Soon he realized that these people he knew, had changed.
Brown decided it would be best to follow these people, but he had to do it secretly so he could figure out what they were up to.
Once Brown and his "leaders" arrived at their destination, Brown immediately knew he was in trouble.
As Brown watched from afar, he realized that his dear, sweet wife Faith was in trouble.
Brown yelled to his wife, "Faith, Faith, Look up to Heaven, and resist the Wicked One".
Try as he may, Brown could not get through to his wife. He was so scared.
Brown thought he had lost his wife for good, when all of the sudden, POOF, the whole group disappeared from his sight, like they had never even been there.
The next day, Brown truly thought what he had seen was a dream. Nobody seemed to acknowledge that anything weird had gone on.
Just like when he left, when he arrived home, his beautiful wife Faith was there to greet him with a smile, hug, and a huge kiss.
