1: The Renaissance brought plucked hairlines (left) and blond hair (right) was a sign of high class.

2: Queen Elizabeth (right) and Francis I (left) were role models in Elizabethan.

3: The Herisson (right) and white powdered wigs (below) were famous in the 18th century.

4: Men wore a mustache, a beard or had sideburns in the Victorian.

5: The colt (below) and the bobbed (right) were popular hairstyles in the 1920s.

6: Bette Davis' curls (left) and Veronica Lake (right) created popular hair styles in the 1930s and 1940s.

7: Elvis Presley (left) wearing the "Duck's Ass" Hairstyle. The "Doe Eye" is shown on the right. These were popular styles in the 1950s.

8: In the 1960s, Afros (left) were popular for African Americans and the Beatles' mop tops (right) made long hair for men fashionable.

9: Farrah Fawcett (middle), one of the Charlie's Angels, created many fashionable hairstyles for the 1970s.
