FC: Still I Rise!

1: When I read the poem "Still I Rise" by Maya Angelou , I thought of how African Americans were ridiculed, insulted, and treated unfairly before and during the cival rights era. The first thing that came into my mind when reading the poem was a girl being laughed at and mistreated and yet, she kept walking with pride and would not let anything put her down. She had so much faith and was a proud person.
