1: September 24th 2011

2: On Saturday, May 21st 2011 just after 9:00 pm an F3 tornado ravaged the town of Reading. It was 3 miles wide and stayed on the ground for 4 miles.

3: Population: 231 Total Area of Town: 0.2 sq. miles | The tornado destroyed 56 of the 110 homes in Reading and 14 of 21 businesses. 1 resident was killed and several were hospitalized.

20: "When I heard about the tornado I was really affected so as soon as I learned about this opportunity to help out I signed up."

24: "I've always wanted to do something like this and this was a great opportunity because it's a small amount of time but you still feel like you've put some effort in and helped a community."

30: 38 people rode out the storm in this church basement.
