FC: Adventures in Vegas, Baby!

1: Adventures in Vegas, Baby! | A Fun Photo Story by Katy, Alison, and Krista

2: Our spontaneous trip began when the three of us decided to get away for a while. So off we went on a flight to fabulous Las Vegas - a land of glitz, gambling and Chippendales!

3: We arrived at our hotel, the Luxor, and immediately got to business. The business of SANITIZING, people! (this is a ritual that Katy does at every hotel) So Katy and Krista wiped down every possible surface until all was clean. But then suddenly, when Krista went to pull back the bed covers ... gasp! WHAT IS THAT?!? Disgusting green goop on a pillow. Oh Luxor, you Suxor! Can somebody say upgrade?

4: Luxor + Green Goopy pillow = 2 thumbs way down!

5: After enduring the green goop, we headed out to the Strip for some good ol' Vegas fun. We were startled by Spongebob and some lions! And of course we couldn't resist getting sweets at M&M World and the World of Coke.

6: Yum, Coke and M&Ms ... what a combination!

7: While at the World of Coke, we decided to try luscious international flavors like Smart Apple and Fanta Mandarin, but as a warning, don't play drinking games with Beverly from Italy! We found that Beverly tastes like industrial strength cleaner - disgusting! Unless of course, you're Eric from San Gabriel ...

8: We took a stroll down the street and found oursevles looking longingly at the Bellagio - certainly they wouldn't have green goopy pillows there, would they? | We decided to leave that thought alone and just take in the beauty of the famous Fountains of Bellagio.

9: There's one thing we did a lot of in Vegas - and no, it wasn't partying or gambling. It was walking ... all the way from one end of the strip to the other! Just look at those poor toes. Awwww.

10: We rested our tootsies by relaxing and hanging out by the Luxor pool, just chillin' in the Las Vegas heat. Luckily there was only one close encounter with Krista's Chanel sunglasses. Inside joke: Nooooooo, not my firstborn! And can someone say Chili-Lime Salad? Yum.

11: We walked to the newly built Wynn hotel in search of Monty Python and the Holy Grail (for Ryan), and something delicious to eat! We admired the beautiful interior space at the Parasol Up - Parasol Down Lounge, along with the Wynn's gorgeous waterfall and lush backyard. But where was the food? Ahh, follow the long line of people .... and there you'll find it. The Buffet! and an hour and half long wait ....

12: What do you do while standing in line for an hour? | Make funny faces .... | to entertain yourselves!

13: Ahhh we're getting closer ... | I can almost see it ... | Mmmm and taste it too! | Alaskan king crab legs, bbq ribs, tasty lamb and so much more!

14: After the tasty spread was demolished, we were off to a show at The Mirage.

15: We had to run quickly, otherwise we would miss it! So we booked it through the Wynn like we had calories to burn!

16: Thankfully, we made it to the Beatles Love Show with some time to spare. But unfortunately, Lady Luck was not on our side. The tickets we had been sold were for the day before! Feeling jipped, we decided to make the best of it, and pose for some silly Beatle-esque photos. We were so NOT feeling the LOVE!

17: Through it all, we tried to keep our spirits up and have a good time. The Mirage had a beautiful saltwater tank of tropical fish, and we just watched those fish float by ... without a care in the world. We left feeling relaxed, and set out to see the rest of the fabulous glitzy LAS VEGAS we came for!

20: The next morning we awoke and took a cab to the Paris hotel for a delightful brunch. The Vegas version of the cobblestoned streets and old buildings of France was quaint and cute, but it was the crepes that were the highlight. We ordered mimosas, a pasta dish, and three dessert crepes!

21: This was our last meal before we left, and though our trip was filled with some goopy messes and unfortunate deals, we still had a great time. It was memorable and so much fun because we did it together. We came to get away and see Vegas, and that's what we did.
