Chapter one - The Stupid Pumpkin Once upon a time there was an eight year old boy named Jim. He was never satisified with the things he had. He was always unhappy. He had no friends. One day before Halloween night, his mom decided to buy a pumkin to carve. Jim's mom and dad carved the pumkin to make a Jack-o-Lantern.

The next day Jim woke up. He went downstairs for breakfast. "Good morning", said Jim's mom. Jim did not answer. "Don't you remember something special today?" said Jim's mom. "It's pancake day", he answered. "No", his mother said, "It's Halloween!" His mother corrected him. She set pacakes on the table and went outside.

 The stupid pumpkin

"I hate the stupid pumpkin", Jim whispered to himself. After breakfast, Jim got his backpack and went to the bus stop.

 Halloween Party Time!

Chapter Two - School Today That day Mrs. Smithie's class would have a Halloween party. Each person had to wear a costume. Makayla was a bat. Al was an evil scientist. Maya was a farie. Jim was a skull. Mrs. Smithie was a giant pumpkin. Shane was a devil. Chester was the grim reaper. Jessica was a vampire, a girl vampire. And Pat was a mummy.

 The night of Dracula

There were chips, soda, cookies and cakes at the party. The day started out with Jim's favorite book, "the Mystery of the Mummy". The book was 21 chapters. It was a pretty big book for a third grader. Then, they went outside to play. Jim always played kickball. Kickball is a game that you have to run, catch, kick and think fast. Then, they went back into the classroom to eat the stuff and watch a movie. The movie was "The Night of Dracula".

 Costume Contest

Then, they went to the cafeteria for a costume contest. The judges were looking for coolness, creativity and scariness. There were only three grades participating, third, fourtht and fifth grades. the person who won was a bully from Mrs. Reed's class. Mrs. Reed is the nicest teacher.

After the contest, they went to lunch. Jim's mom packed his lunch, a PBJ sandwich. P stands for peanut. B stands for butter. That makes peanutbutter, and J stands for jelly. To be continued soon!
