1: Hi, we are Michelle & Randy. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We appreciate your courage in considering an adoption plan for your child. Our hope is that through this book you will get a glimpse of who we are, what kind of parents we desire to be and the loving home that we can provide. We are praying that God will bless you in all things.

2: Michelle has an associates degree in liberal arts as well as a degree in baking & pastry arts. She is taking on-line classes for a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is currently a medical secretary, but will be a stay at home mom & is looking forward to creating a nurturing environment for our child. Michelle's faith & family are very important to her & she treasures the moments spent with those in her life. | Michelle

3: Randy has a Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy. He truly enjoys his work at a community mental health center, where he has been helping people for almost 10 years now. Like Michelle, he values his faith, family and friends and cherishes each and every moment life has to offer, whether it's enjoying a cup of coffee on the patio or celebrating with family and friends. | Randy

4: Randy is a very thoughtful & compassionate man. What I first noticed about him when we met was his kindness to others & his sense of humor. He can always make me laugh! His fun-loving & kind ways will make him a wonderful father! He interacts easily with children & they enjoy his playfulness. | About Randy by Michelle:

5: From the moment I first saw Michelle I was captivated by her warm and gentle heart. I admire her creativity and her zeal for life. I love that we can laugh together and enjoy the many wonderful moments life has to offer, like taking a stroll around the block, exploring new places or watching a sunset. She will be an amazing mother because her heart is full of love and compassion just waiting to be shared. | About Michelle by Randy:

6: We met at the local grocery store where we both worked while attending school. We started dating shortly afterward and were married 2 years later. We have happily been together for over 17 years now in a strong and loving relationship built upon our mutual faith & our commitment to support each other in pursuing our dreams. We have shared countless adventures and exciting memories, including going to concerts & theater shows, visiting zoos, aquariums & traveling. We are looking forward to our continuing saga and can't wait to see what further adventures God has in store for us.

7: We both have experience with adoption in our lives. Randy's father and uncle were adopted, as well as one of his cousins. One of Michelle's best friends from childhood was also adopted and we have friends who recently adopted. We are open to exchanging letters, photos, videos, emails and having visits with you if that is your wish. | Kids are like sunshine: warm & joyful!

8: Our Home | We live in a 3 bedroom Cape-Cod home on a quiet friendly village street. We have a good sized fenced in backyard perfect for games, running around in & catching fireflies or making s'mores at the bonfire on a peaceful summer night. We are within walking distance of the library, school & a sizable playground which includes a climbing wall, slides, swings, trapeze rings & mazes. | Our cats, Cassie & Oscar, love sitting in the window where they can watch all of the wildlife that frequents our backyard.

9: Our Church | We regularly attend a Lutheran church in a neighboring town. We worship at the contemporary service. Our Pastor does a very entertaining children's sermon complete with puppets that is a hit with young & old alike. | Our Neighborhood View of the school & library from the creek where we go canoeing. | Filling our home with family to celebrate the holidays

10: Michelle's Family | Michelle's parents are generous, kind & loving. They have been married for 45 years. Since retiring, they enjoy traveling in their camper. They have been very supportive of us adopting and look forward to welcoming another grandchild. They live only 5 minutes from us & we get to see them often. | Michelle's parents | Michelle's Grandma enjoying a visit with the family | Randy & his older brother | Randy's nieces..............and nephew. | Randy is the middle of three boys. His younger brother is married and has 4 children. His older brother is unmarried, but often helps out with the kids. His nieces and nephew are full of energy and love to dance, sing and play games.

11: Randy's Family | Michelle's brother, sister-in-law & our nephew | Michelle's brother & sister-in-law are a sweet & fun-loving couple. They live a short drive away & we always look forward to hanging out with them & going out for dinner, playing games or watching a movie. We are enjoying our nephew & are blessed to be his God-parents. | Growing up our home was full of laughter and love, for which I will always be grateful to my parents. | Randy's younger brother & his wife

12: Hobbies & Interests: -Shooting hoops, collecting playing cards, coins, sci-fi memorabilia & unique items, playing chess, exploring, playing video games, astronomy, reading, writing, gardening, creating things, doing household repairs and maintenance. | Randy's favorites: - I enjoy a wide variety of music and movies, but my all-time favorite movie is Raiders of the Lost Ark - stuffed chicken marsala - visiting the coast of Maine - The Big Bang Theory, Castle, Once Upon a Time & anything Star Trek - decorating the house for Christmas | Randy at a Glance

13: Hobbies: ~Baking, cooking using fresh herbs from my garden. ~Reading, photography, hiking & swimming. ~Collecting seashells & cookbooks | Michelle's Favorites: TV show- Castle Movie- Father of the Bride Band- Third Day Books- by Karen Kingsbury Meal- lasagna Dessert- anything chocolate Vacation spot- Acadia National Park. | Michelle at a Glance | Baking is a great joy of mine & I am known for my decadent chocolate desserts, fruit pies, breads, cookies & my warm Christmas cinnamon rolls that melt in your mouth. | There's nothing like a refreshing swim in the summer. My brother & I have always loved to swim & we always enjoy swimming at the lake by our friends' cottage. | Hiking & photography are two of my favorite things because I love getting out into nature & enjoying God's artistic & beautiful creations all around us.

14: There's nothing like heading out to the lake to do some paddling on a beautiful summer day, or lounging in the backyard having a picnic & enjoying some lawn games! The smell of homemade pizza baking on a Friday night melts away the stress from the work week as we sit down together to enjoy a good movie! Over the summer we go to the drive-in, where we also play a friendly game of mini-golf. | Hanging out in our rec room | Learning a new game

16: Uncle Randy often enjoys playing Ferris Wheel with his nieces & nephews. He'll pick them up and go around & around and up & down with them. Then when he needs a 'rest', the 'Ferris Wheel' will break down and the kids will get their toy tools to fix him. | All Fixed! Says Niece Alexia as she waits for another turn on the Ferris Wheel. | There is great excitement in the family every year as the annual Christmas Cookie baking marathon day approaches. Michelle enjoys a fun filled day with her mom & sister-in-law as we bake many classical favorites as well as experimenting with one or two new recipes. The house smells simply amazing! | Michelle's parents enjoy gardening & are happy to share many veggies & raspberries with us. | Celebrating Mom's Birthday

17: Silliness runs in the Family... | Yummy! | Our families are an important part of our lives and we are grateful that we have plenty of opportunities to get together with them. Whether it's celebrating a birthday with a niece or a nephew, having a family picnic or just dropping in when we're in the neighborhood we always share a lot of laughs and fun. | Our niece's birthday party | Cuddling with our nephew | There's always laughter & fun when Michelle's brother is around!

18: We are blessed to have many family members & friends who have been very supportive of us adopting. We look forward to the day when we can introduce them to our newest family member! | Fun and games at the campsite | Our friends with their adopted daughter
