FC: Living and Non Living Things | A short introduction for Miss Yurik's Kindergarten Class
What is a living thing? | A living thing is able to grow and reproduce. It has to be alive or been alive at one point in time. | Can you think of a living thing?
What is a Non Living thing?
If something is non living, that means it was never alive. It also means that thing object can never grow or reproduce, like a living thing. Things such as toys and shoes are non living things. | Can you name some non-living things?
Remember, it does not matter if the thing is no longer living. If it was once alive, then it is considered a living thing.
Size does not matter either. | Even something as big as a mountain is a non living thing.
Living things have basic needs. | Living things need air to breathe, food to eat, and water to drink
Non living things don't have needs. | They are fine just the way they are.
