Heyyy It's Alysssaaaa(; I liked the concept of your rat trap car, it is somewhat similar to my groups. (: So yeahhaa. Your guys' blog was reallllyyy good. But one thing is that some of your sentences don't make much sense, either that our they have mannyyy punction and mis-spellings. Other than that your multimedia is good(: Alsooo one more thing is that your graphs are a little confusing. I lovee it(; Gooooddd Job(: --aLySsA RoSeNtHaL (; http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n241/lyssielou5/DSC05312-1.jpg << thats an amazing picturee. lol.

This is great. You are right about the idea being unique. I talked to everyone and I know they didn't think of anything like that. Good job thinking outside the box. I like how you described each trial and what you did each day like a journal. Just go back and make sure you doubled check and edit some things because you have a couple places where the spelling is wrong and or where you should've used a different word. So those few things will help people understand it better. But over all you guys did a great job with the idea and the whole process. The pictures really help to understand what your car or should I say plane =] looks like and how it works.

Wow, a flying car! Great idea! You just need to update your graphs, and record which way it turned, how far it went, how fast, and whether it went backwards, forwards, etc. You did good when it came to modifications! Oh, and you might want to check your spelling, too! Anyway... Great job! Keep up the good work! :)

Ok I'm done here, and from what I see you need to record your direction, speed, acceleration, distance, and wether it curved or not. You also need to finish up your graphs, but that's easy. After that you need to add one more random graph to meet the 5 graph rquirement.

You got your modifications down I see...-Josh

Just looking at the first test and stuff... well next time you really need to look at the rubric, you only recored improvements you could make, you need to also record, in which direction, speed, distance, and if it curved or not.- Josh

Looking off the rubric, you have all your materials on slide 3, andyour web media is ok, so A on that. P.S. might want to check your speeling before you publish it next time.- Josh

I understand what you're trying to do, but the diagram is a little confusing.- Josh

Be sure to incorporate the original diagram at the begining. The reasoning is good. Include it with Newton's laws and forces. You will also want to identify who is the narrator, because you speak in first person it gets confusing.

FC: The Flying Rat Trap Car

1: By: Josie, Austin H, Daylen and Billie Narrator: Josie publish October 2008

3: This was the first idea I thought of. Nevertheless it wouldn't have worked because we aren't able to do anything to it once it is moving. So therefore it will have to stay on the string.

4: Day one: The Lafonda Sisters Today was the day we had to get started on our rat trap. I already had a thought in mind. I knew people weren't going to think of flying. I wanted something different something that will be completely unqiue and flying was the only thing. But how could we be able to make it fly? I had no idea at first. Our diagram is on the next page.

6: Day Two Today we got all of our materials. We had a rat trap, tape, wood that was in a shape of an oval, yarn, etc. After thinking about it that night i figured out that it will have to start at the ceiling and work its way down. That ment we needed strong tape. The reason was that since the rat trap was heavy. We need strong yarn so it would hold the car.

7: Day Three We tapped the wings onto the rat trap. My first idea wasn't going to work because what I wanted to do was have the string cut and have the car gliding in the air for a couple seconds. Then have the wheels of the car start once the rat trap would land on the floor. Nevertheless, we aren't able to cut the yarn. So it will have to stay on the yarn the whole intire time. | Day Two Today we got all of our materials. We had a rat trap, tap, wood that was in a shape of an oval, yarn etc. After thinkingabout it that night i figured out that it will have to start at the ceiling and work our way down. that meant we needed strong tap. the reason was that since the rat trap was heavy. We need strong yarn so it would hold the car.

8: Day Four We were finally done building the flying rat trap. It had the wings and the suspention that was made up of another but smaller rat trap. We went to go test it out about 2 times. Testing #1 It didn't work. The reason why is didnt work was because the end yarn had to be angled more to the floor because at first we had the boxes that would be the end point. It went 4m.

9: Testing #2 It did work but the rat trap went very slowly. It also didn't go the distance we needed. We are thinking that we have to wet the yarn so that it is slippery. The direction it when was straight and down. It didn't curve, it didnt go that fast either. | Day Five Today we are testing it again. Billie brought in a another wire so that maybe it will work. It didnt work because the wire isnt a tool we are able to use plus its too short.

10: Day Six Today Daylen brought a different piece of yarn it was thinner but stronger and smoother. Billie and I took pictures of our amazing flying rat trap car. | y Five Today we are testing it again. Billie brought in a another wire so that maybe it will work. It didnt work because the wire isnt a tool we are able to use plus its too short.

11: We tested it again and it work great but it didn't reach its destination. We are thinking that maybe it needs more wieght. So now what we are going to do is that wheels. Not just any wheels though, skateboard wheels with the trucks. Day Seven Ok, so it has just been a week working on this project. Really we think we can get this. Today we are going to test it with the trucks and wheels.

13: Day Eight We tested it again and it still didn't reach its destination. Since the suspention was a spring had friction it didn't work but by adding a piece of a straw in the spring will give it less friction. The next test the destination was shorter. Then we changed the height of the end point of the yarn. We tried it at 12 inches but it only went half way.The next test we did it didn't even reach half way. It stoped at 2m.

14: The reason was that the straw broke off. Then we tried to do it with it again. The end point was at 27 inches and it didn't work. Next it was set at 15 inches. It didn't work either. So what we are going to do it that we are going to remove the wheels and the trucks. Before it was going a lot farther and now with the wheel it wasn't. So now what we are going to do is that the next test we are going to do it will be without the wheels and the end point will be at 27 inches.

17: Day Nine ok, now we know it works. But how fast does it go. it took 45 seconds for it to go to point A and point B. Now we have to make it go faster. What we are going to do is that we are going to put more wieght on the back. we got a ball of tape and made it dangle.

18: It worked it did go faster but once it started to go lower it stopping. once the dangeling tape touched the floor it stopped Newtons 1st law of motion acted upon it; a body in motion will stay in motion until an outside force acts upon it.

19: So now we know it works it can go passed the finest line.

20: Day 10 Today we will do our graphs. The velocity and the accerlation. What changed it one more time and used a different straw. the straw was thicker and bigger it wouldn't fit through the spring so we cut it so it would be smaller. It was a secuess. The new straw made is go faster. We are going to time it.

21: The Rat Trap The direction it when in was forward and it went straight. It didnt curve at all either. The suspention was hold it so that it would be hangin on one end and not the other. How fast it goes? It takes 9 seconds to get to point B from point A. It pretty much takes .9 seconds per meter. Once it gets closer to the ground it starts to slow down. It can go the 10 meters. the first time it went it stopped at the 8 meter line.
