There once was a baby bird named Ted. He loved his mom more than anything else. But one day, his mom left to go get him food for dinner. "Bye Mommy!!"
Ted got worried, as he waited and waited for his mom to come home. She was away for a long time. He cried every night. "Mommy, please come home."
Then, one day, an owl came and was flying over Ted. Ted knew owls were bad, and began to move to the back of the nest. Then, he fell out and was falling. Ted couldn't fly.
Ted kept falling until he hit the ground. "Ouch," he said. He stood up helplessly and began walking away.
While Ted was walking, he heard scary noises. Then, a lion popped out of a bush. "AAAAHHHHH!!!," Ted screamed.
"Who are you," Jim said with a loud growl. "I am Ted! Do you know where my mommy is?" Jim said, " No, but I can help you out for now."
Jim brought the bird to a river so the baby could have a drink. He also got him food. "I hope you like raw meat," Jim said.
Ted became home sick. He was sad, and missed his mommy. Every night, he would sing to himself, hoping that his mommy would come save him.
One day, Jim decided it was time for baby Ted to go home. "You are the coolest bird I have ever met, but I feel sad and want you to be back with your mom." "Thank you for everything," Ted said. After that, they both left back to Ted's nest.
They both walked back to Ted's tree slowly. Ted hoped his mom would be there when he arrived. They made it to the tree, and said goodbye. Suddenly, Ted's mom came down to get him. He looked up at her and started to yell. "Mommy, Mommy!!"
His mom brought him up in the tree and fed him worms. "Oh Ted, I hope I never lose you again. I love you so much." "I love you too." "Just always remember," his mom said, "I will always be here with you. Everything will come with patience."
