17: For Pete's birthday, Mohanned came for a surprise visit! The three of us traveled to Aqaba, the Red Sea, and Petra.

18: so much | November 1st meant three months of marriage! We celebrated with flowers, love notes, and Romero. | LOVE.

27: After Turkey, we headed to Cyprus to see Dilgesh and Andrea tie the knot! | Peter made sure to get in on the dancing action at the Kurdish wedding! | November 2009

29: The Roman Hotel: great price, clean room, and a hilariously-excellent theme! A great choice for our stay in Cyprus! | Tylohot saved us from a terrible, cold-ridden trip!

30: HAPPY BIRTHDAY

31: Pete surprised Ana with tres leches, flowers, tickets to The Nutcracker, and a delicious meal at Trader Vic's! A fantastic, 24th birthday!

33: December brought us Esther, Mohanned, and plenty of adventurous travels

38: Yummy fateer makes a fabulously delicious dinner and dessert! Scrum-didily-umptious!

40: Camels: not the most comfortable ride, but a definite must at least once! | Numbers 32:13, "The LORD'S anger burned against Israel and He made them wander in the desert forty years..." Thankfully this didn't happen to us. But we did wander for several hours... on a guided tour.

41: An experience of a lifetime | We spent the night at Sunset Village - a fun, Bedouin camp in the middle of the desert dunes.

42: The Three Musketeers journey to Petra, then Peter baptizes Ana and Esther in the Jordan River. Second time being baptized together!

63: Peter reenacting his favorite childhood game: one man baseball! | Rocky Mount, NC | TThe old Laffoon family church across the street from their house. | Pete hanging out on the porch of 131 Wilkinson Street.. | Admiring the beautiful view from Battlefield Park.. | Every Sunday after church, the Laffoon clan made their way to this fine eatery. | Topping off pepperoni with nothing other than chocolate chip pizza!

64: Almost one year after our big day, we returned to Asheville and Weaverville, North Carolina, for a tour of the farm and a stay in our honeymoon suite! | The new barn

65: For Christmas, Andrew and Bekah gave us a trip to visit them in California! We even got to explore San Fransisco!

66: We had a blast seeing all the great sights: Lombard Street, Pier 39, great views of Alcatraz Island, the Golden Gate Bridge, the "Painted Ladies" (better known as the Full House house), and so much more!

68: After 5 months of intense training, freak injuries, and even crazier works of healing, we finished our first marathon! | May 15, 2010 | 26.2

70: Day trip to Cannon Beach, Oregon!

73: A stop at the candy shop! | Delicious seafood bisque and chewy, salt water taffies readied us for our journey North.

75: A favorite stop is always the original Starbucks | The Seattle Zoo - the bears were Pete's favorite!

77: A two-night visit with Jonathan and Liz provided some very needed catch-up time!

78: Vancouver, B.C. | Biking in in Stanley Park, posing with the Laughing Statues, eating polish sausages and cupcakes, and enjoying delicious Indian cuisine... we love Canada!

82: After a 10 day support trip, Peter returned to Spokane to find a fun-filled day waiting for him! Painting pottery, breakfast in a caboose, and an indoor picnic were just a few of the surprises! We also enjoyed time with Grandma Ann, Sarah Clifford's bridal tea party, and a bike excursion with Hannah on the Hiawatha trail!
