FC: If You Forget Me Pablo Neruda

1: I really enjoyed reading this poem. Pablo Neruda writes how if one person loves another that the other should love that one back the same way or better. Also, he writes how he constantly thinks about her because he says "if I look at the crystal moon, at the red branch of the slow autumn at my window, if I touch near the fire the impalpable ash or the wrinkled body of the log, everything carries me to you, as if everything that exists, aromas, light, metals, were little boats that sail toward those isles of yours that wait for me." Love is a connection between two people and it is everlasting. He talks of how he is deeply rooted in the other person and feels it to be a long-lasting relationship. However, if his love no longer wants to invest the time and effort into the relationship, he will "uproot" and leave the relationship behind for a new life.
