Sonnet 116 - Page Text Content

FC: Sonnet 116 William Shakespeare

1: In the first four lines, Shakespeare describes how love is continuous or everlasting and strong between two people. Also, he writes how no matter what circumstances or "bumps on the road" there may be, love will still be there. When he says "If this be error and upon me proved, I never writ, nor no man ever loved," he is saying that if he's wrong, then man has not truly been in love.
