EYES - Page Text Content

S: Semmaster's Thoughts

As the lids of my eyes take slumber for the night My soul stays wide awake

Traveling through the cosmic space Soaring closer toward the light

Cherubims to the east and angels to the west I grab a hold of their wings

On such a journey, my soul doth take To see wondrous and beautiful things

My brothers are singing an unusual song The melody puts my mind in a trance

My soul steps high on pirouette toes Twirling around and around all day long

A circle of light encompasses my soul I let go of their wings

Floating on a pillow of clouds I now begin to sing

The words of the song in which my brothers doth sing Of which the melody caused me to dance

The lyrics which seemed so foreign to me In my ears understanding doth ring

The angels and cherubims, each take one hand And guide me toward the back of my eyes

Fluttering and blinking as fast as a fan My eyelids crease open, more the wise

 Winter Sunrise

As I lie down, comfy, blankets drawn neck high

Eyelids heavy, losing the battle between light and dark

Staring at the TV, trying to differentiate the figures from the scenes

Unstable, unable to consider real from unreal, the forest from the parks

Rapidly blinking, steadily thinking, spiraling into dreams

I rise for just a second, to shake off the shimmer from my eyes

Only to weeble wobble again and again

Sparring with my conscience, trying to survive

As the TV set signs off and drizzles into a snowy blur

Psychedelic visions flicker like a neon light, then deep sleep suddenly begins

I'm swiftly drowning and my mind concurs

It's time to let go and let the waters rise

My dreams blare bright as the night comes to a demise

A shivering shake, a wide lazy yawn, a chill at the crack of dawn

Awakening in amazement, to my surprise, what a beautiful wintry

 Winter Sunrise

 Behind These II Eyes

Deep behind the back of my eyes

 Behind my nightmares and dreams

Behind my thoughts of days gone by

 Beyond the hollers and screams

Behind these eyes lies a universe full of moonbeams

Fairies and pixies dancing in aerial delight

Sprinkled with stardust in a dipper full of Milky Way Cream

Under a cloudless, star lit, amazing night

Behind the cornea, iris and lens

 Ciliary muscles and veins

 Through the vitreous humour

Life as I see it begins

 Behind the inverted retina's lens
