Rhianna's Intro | A typical day for me (Rhianna) is waking up to the sound of my best friend (Kelly) calling me at 5:30am, and the boats of Washington D.C. tooting their horn. Then my babysitter Jenny yells from downstairs to get up. I don't even know why I need her I am practically a teenager. 13 is pretty close in my book. But this past couple of months hasn't been my typical day. It's been quite the opposite actually. So far insane I almost died! Calm down I am alive but to not confuse anyone I believe I should go back to lets see 7 weeks ago, yep that sounds about right. Back to where everything was perfect and calm.
Chapter 1- Trouble Strikes | “Rhianna wacky wacky, wake up!”, Jenny yells repeating at my face. “What what time is it” I respond with no care in the world. “Time for you to get a” - I interrupt quickly “Don't even say watch I am not six stop giving me cheesy jokes” I mutter with a grin. Jenny leaves and Kelley climes through my window right on the dot. It's like her habit entering through there. As were about to exchange our annual clothing advice we hear a scream. Kelly and I run downstairs as fast as we could, then found Jenny lying on the ground covered in blood hovered by a stranger. About to run for the phone Kelly turns to look back to get his face and he's gone. Jenny was dead on the floor, we ran out for help the man hovering over Jenny stares at my shirt and ran after us. My shirt by the way was an official Naval Criminal Investigation Service (NCIS) t-shirt. I wear it because my father Mr.B, is an agent for them. He starts passing through bushes to get to us. Kelley grabs my hand and starts running across the street from lawn to lawn where were screaming for help. Yet not one person actually came out. Good neighbors, yeah right. Kelly was kicking everything so people might know that something went wrong here. We ended up running into an abandoned rail-road. Kelly tells me to jump on board, as I am pasting for my life I am also choosing whether to risk my life jumping aboard, or risking it with this dude behind me. About to jump a hand appears in front of both mine and Kelly's forehead. Not thinking we both grab on as this mysterious man pulls us aboard, the non-moving train.
We stumble inside and look up at the mysterious face that kindly helped us. The man seemed like he's been hit by a garbage truck. I couldn't even see his real clothes, they were covered in filth. He had long black hair with a small goatee underneath his chin. Kelley thanks the man for helping us. I look back to see if Jenny's murderer was still there he just walks away and doesn't even bother getting aboard. The man aboard with us pulls out some oatmeal for us to eat then two old wooden bowls. Confused on whether or not to take it, Kelly grabs it shoving the food down her throat, like she was starving. I denied his offer for eating the food as I am not a fan of oatmeal, and I wasn't completely starving like Kelly. Trying to break the silence I ask what the man's name was. He didn't say a word, just kept staring at us. Kelly figured he might be deaf so she started asking what his name was in sign language. I try to convince Kelly that he's not deaf probably just shy yet surprising he responds back to her the same way. I don't know sign language so as I am blankly seating watching them sign to each-other, Kelly begins to translate. “He says my name is Billy-Bob, I have been a homeless man for over two years not once have I ran into anyone willing talk to me”, Kelly tells me with a grin on her face. I laughed knowing what that meant, she tried to convince me last year to learn sign language but I refused, thinking I would never need it. Ha, sometimes I think she knows me better than myself. Billy-Bob tells us we should get some sleep. Kelly and I were exhausted, both of us were hoping this was just one nightmare, and will wake up tomorrow to see Jenny's wrinkly annoying face. Yet, we know that at this point that this is real, meaning we'll never wake up to Jenny or my dad (depending if we ever get home) ever again.
Kelly and I woke to the sound of rusted old wheels squeaky we realized we were actually moving! Kelly was trying to figure out how this can be, considering this was an old Washington Electric Railroad that was abandoned and considered out of order. As Kelly's observing the situation I am looking for Billy-Bob. Of course right now tons of things are going through our brain's: Why is this train moving ,how did it start, wheres Billy and why would he leave us?! Suddenly as were processing all this information the kart stops and were right by old ghost town. Kelly seems to think it must be one of the carts old stops back when it was still running. We enter the quiet, tasteless town, or whats left of it. There's spiders surrounding the place; I could only here the sound of our feet being swiped across the dust that's layered above the ground. There's few buildings still standing. We walk to a barn in the back end of the place. There's a sign that's duck taped to the door it read: 24 hour motel. We didn't think anyone would actually be inside yet to our surprise a lady with a gown that makes her look like she's living in the 30’s appears at a small desk. The lady had bright red hair, long and what looked fake nose, and hiking boots along with a pair of skull earnings. I have been taking photos of everything that has happened ,a photo of the murderer, Billy-bob, and the town from a distance, even video's of us running away. | Chapter Two- Washington Electric Railroad
Kelly took out my phone and showed the unattractive lady a photo of the man who chased us. Just getting one glance at it we could tell that she knew him yet the women said nothing to us and just fainted. We helped her up and she said her name was Rose, after that she offered us a room with no-charge. Were pleased by this sense we didn't have no money plus we wouldn't of have payed for this dump anyway. Rose leads us to a small cramped hallway with the smell of a circus as we get passed all the webs and bugs and finally arrive at the end of the hall to a small closet. Rose stopped and said this is our room. Kelly's sighs and lies down on the one twin bed inside. I ask Rose if we could poke around to keep ourselves occupied, she responds yes and walks away still in shock. As Kelly gets off the bed she turns around and notices that our so called twin bed is just made of hay which is being eaten by a horse in the background. We immediately ran to the stairs to get away from the disgusting room, when Kelly's shoes got stuck on a board in the flooring. I went over to assist her yet when we released her shoe the wooden floor board popped off and reveled a secret door.
Chapter 3- Rose as the Black Window | As we got closer to the handle a figure appears in-front of our face. It’s Rose. “Get away, there's nothing for you to see there”, Rose tells us with a loud tone of voice. She walked us back into our rooms for some chowder. She left us with following rule to stay inside our room. As Kelly's was becoming fond with our new roommate, I’ve been making a list on what might be down inside that secret place. Kelly begins to point out how Rose didn't want us to the see whatever was inside there. As soon as that was said we both immediately got an idea on how to get down inside. Getting into that room was our number one priority. Our plan was simple and brilliant but only a one-shot opportunity. Our goal was to get Rose out of barn for the night. Kelly thankfully has a survival pack in her Jans-sport- backpack (She's paranoid). A lighter is one of the supplies in the bag; Kelly has to bring all of her gaming skills to life, by lighting up one of the standing buildings down to the ground. Sure it's risky but it will defiantly keep Rose away from whats ever down in that room. Once we got our plan settled Kelly and I decided to go looking for Billy-Bob. It's the least we could do considering all what he did for us. We left without waving goodbye to Rose and wondered off into the forest. We searched underneath where our train kart was, there laid a creek. By the edge of the creek was an envelope.
Kelly noticed it as well and ran up and grabbed it. She quickly tore the envelope open. Inside were photos of Jenny dressed as U.S Marine Master Sergeant! Kelley and I were both shocked at this, out of all those years of knowing her not once did she mention this. Kelly starts to wonder why she would be my babysitter if she had this high important job. On the back listed her payroll she gets only $3794 for per month that's not a lot Kelly pointed out. As Kelly was about to shove the envelope in her bag a small note fell out. I picked it up completely curious. The top read “Operation Benet CLASSIFIED”. Me and Kelly both exchange looks knowing this must have been one of Jenny's mission's. About to read the operation form we hear voices nearby .Kelly snatches the form and shoves it into the bag as we headed towards the voices. It's Rose, she was talking on her Cell phone. How could she even get service we've been trying for hours, I mean come on. Rose was not in her normal gown. She was wearing a black suit and was packed in both front and back. Kelly said it reminded her of the Black Window. We tipped toed closer, to see what she was saying; also to try to figure out who she was talking to. She said she planted the envelope right where we were searching, and that everything was going as planned. Kelly and I exchange looks wondering what we got ourselves into. As Kelly tried to get closer, she accidentally stepped on a twig making Rose hang up. Rose was coming towards us, I figured she knew it was us; quickly I pulled Kelly by the shoulder and we quietly ran back to the barn.
Chapter 4- A blast of Fire | We made it back to the barn just in time, and in our room just right before Rose did. We knew that Rose is definitely not who she said she was. Yet, even with the risks increased with rose on our backs, Kelly still wanted to go on with the plan. It's about 10:00pm now were about ready to discover what this women was hiding. Kelly takes her back pack and heads to an old town house that we passed when we first arrived here. She pulled out her lighter and lit a whole notebook of paper and laid it above the ruined home. Kelly's was about to walk away pleased, when the fire hit a tube of propane gas! She ran into the forest so fast, she looked like a deer running away from a mountain lion! I see the fire impressed how big flames rose, and was unaware of what had happened. I reached my hand opened the handle, and climbed down the ladder step by step. I got inside and I heard two voices talking. Trying not to show any signs of my presence there, I got a little bit closer and see the man who had killed Jenny! Expect the man wasn't in a good mood he seemed to be getting schooled at by what appears to be his boss. The man yelling at him kept calling him Rick. I took out my phone placed it on silent, and took a photo of Rick and his boss. Then I recorded the conversation. Rick just kept apologizing for letting the girls go but everything worked out with our back up plan. I was trying to figure out what that meant and then I got it.
Billy-Bob was their backup! I remembered seeing Rick walking away from the train kart once he saw us on it with Billy-Bob. He knew Billy would lead us to this insane town. Which apparently was their back up plan, I was terrified of actually believing that that might be true! How could the one person we actually trusted betray us! Then I realized that I had to tell Kelly this. She would freak and probably just run away hopping that will cause this nightmare to be over. I was still inside the room, struggling to find the right words to say to Kelly. I let out big yell of my anger realizing that I just gave away my presence to Rick and his boss. I ran up bumping into Kelly who is in shock. I grab her hand and head for the door and explaining what I heard on the way out. She interrupted me and told me Rose knew about our plan “I think she tried to kill me with me my own fire”, Kelly shouted. I have no idea why she would yell letting them know where we were, because their Rose was blocking the exit.
Chapter 5- From Witness to Murders! | Rose pulls off her ugly 30’s dress and shows her black leathered Black Widow suit. Rose pulled out a Wesson Pistol and pointed it at both me and Kelly. Both of us scared out of our minds, Kelly not thinking about anything but the gun. Kelly jumps up and kicks the gun out of Rose's hand. I push her to the ground using everything around me as my weapon. Rose drops to the ground, we both figured she was out-cold so we removed all of her weapons. Then suddenly Rose pops up with a Knife, about to come at me, Kelly grabs the Wesson Pistol and shoots three times. She missed twice, except the last shot hit Rose right in the chest. Rose falls to the ground. I ran to check her pulse, and then looked back at Kelly and we both knew it was too late. Not knowing what to do Kelly leaves our phone numbers on-top of the desk. About to leave I reach for my phone, it wasn't in my pocket. As I was figuring the worst of what happened to it, Kelly looks around; then notices that someone took it and placed it on the desk, it recorded the whole event. That meant that Rick and his boss knew what we did, and I mean everything. Panicking, Kelly runs back upstairs to get the horse that was in our room earlier. We run out of the barn with Kelly's bag, the horse, the mysterious envelope, and our sorrow. Kelly frustrated and full of anger takes out her lighter throws it (lit) on top of the barn! I scream yelling “Rick and his Boss are still inside!” She walks away saying “its better no one knows what happened here”. I respond back screaming “we don't even know what really happened here”. “We don't know why Jenny was killed, what she was working on, why these people picked us as targets”! She stops walking the horse and turns to look at me “isn't it obvious” she responded “your dad he's an NCIS agent right”? t
Yes I said unaware of what she was getting at. “Jenny was a Master Sergeant, she was our babysitter because of her mission, remember- Operation Benet, your dad is called Mr.B at work”. I tried to get a word out but couldn't think of anything to say. She kept going on saying “Jenny was either assigned to go after your dad or was working with him, and obviously those people didn't like whatever they were doing together, that's why they went after the next big thing; us”!
Chapter 6- Lost Among the Wild | We didn't talk to each other until we reached a small campsite, about a mile away from the train cart and the ghost town. The campsite actually turned out to be a place where some freaks were L.A.R.P- ing, (Live, Action, Role, Play). Kelly decided now with things heated up that we need to communicate. It's the only way we could actually get out of this not cut up into pieces. We decided we didn't wanted to stand out, because everyone there was dressed like knights and what such. So Kelly went up to two little girls dressed as fairies, and offered them some MM’s for their costumes. I pulled Kelly aside knowing we don't have any candy, she responds to my reaction and says “they'll believe anything”. Feeling terrible and cruel we leave the little girls in their undergarments in the middle of LARP event. Kelly begins to say “you got to do harsh things to survive out in the wild” as she fixes her purple tutu. I groaned knowing what we did still wasn't right especially when our outfits barley fit us. We start to walk up to people asking questions about if they've seen anyone strange walking by. No-one talked in a normal understand-able voice. All we heard was an army of Recession fans talking like they were living in the middle ages. Sense they were no help to us we walked out of that part of the forest with no new information besides what we already had. We tried every tree, every high rock, and every cliff point still though not one gave us a signal. Kelly said that when watching the camping shows, there's always a little Internet café or bait shop nearby a lake. All you have to do is find it. I pulled out my phone looked at our video of us being chased by Rick when we first left the house. I then matched the date and time into Goggle Earth, hopping it would give us a map from home to where we were. But sadly without a signal the app was worthless. “So much for global satellite anywhere anytime” Kelly shouts with frustration.
We walked and skipped even took turns dragging each-other until we found a sign that was hidden behind a bush. It read: Burk Lake Park up ahead. Kelly dropped my hand leaving me on the forest floor. She ran to the edge of a small hill and looked down at the sparkle yet enormous lake. I got up on my feet and ran over to join in the excitement. We were so excited that we found a place; it took us ten minutes until we actually remembered to go inside the bait-shop, to use a phone. I began to talk to me father who's on the other line back in Washington D.C.
Chapter 7- Phone Abuse | Our conversation went something like this: “Dad we need help, please get me and Kelly out of here”. “Rhianna, what's going on you haven't come home for 2-days!” “Dad please I will explain everything later but so will you”. “Rhianna I don't know what you're talking about you're the one who's in trouble here, not me” “ Oh really, then I guess Jenny will be coming to pick us up soon, oh wait dad she can't, why is that Kelly oh yeah because she was murdered!” I remember him trying to get a word in but I cut him off, right before he could say anything. “And guess what dad whatever you and Jenny, (or should I say Master Sergeant Jenny) were doing has put me and Kelly as Rick’s number one target!” He responds back like he was choosing his words very carefully saying, “I don't know how you got this information but there's somethings we need to sort out together; Rhianna please I never meant”-. I cut him off right there, “save it dad by the way I know you're recording this call, so just track us already”. Before I could say anther word based off of my anger, Kelley swipes the phone out of my hand and hangs up, knowing I was about to say something I would regret. We sit on a rock beside the pay phone wondering what would happen next, why my own father lied to me, and how something so small can turn out to be so big. Kelly looked at me with a worried face, “We can't tell them about Rose, I don't care if we haft to lie but its better we leave that whole place out of our write ups”. I nod, understanding completely but wondering if my father would know if I was telling the truth or not.
As we were sitting on the curb, out of no-where two black SUV’s park right in front of us. Kelly and I struggling on if it's NCIS or Rick. Out comes Caroline, Mathew and Teddy, my fathers team. In the front-seat was Harry the director of NCIS, my father and him go way back since like high school or something. Teddy slide open the door and helped me and Kelly get inside. I was squished between Teddy and Mathew as Kelly was squished between Caroline and their search dog Rufus. Kelly trying not to reveal anything, she busted out with questions. She starts with Jenny why shes dead, what were Mr.B and the rest of NCIS working on. I pulled her back to make sure she didn't explode with questions. Harry arranges the rear view mirror to have it pointing at us, then smiles with the response: “you know you girls are hard to find”. Kelly and I looked at each-other not saying a word. “Harry” I blurted out, “you need to tell us everything or we won't spill a nickel, and you know me well enough that I will keep my end to that.” He put the mirror back in place and didn't say a word for the rest of the way there. As well as the driver who looked strangely familiar. Not one sound from anyone not even Rufus. Kelly and I shrugged down, wondering what they were going to make us do. Mathew slide open the door for us to get out. Kelly put her hoddie over her face, so no one would see her shame. I have no idea why she did that with them not knowing anything that we did wrong. We see their building from just about a grabbing point. We walk inside to a main lobby; I have never been inside before because my dad never could get me clearance. Now that I am in I feel like it's for the wrong reason.
Chapter 8-Elevator Misshape | We enter in an elevator surprisingly it fit all of us inside. I saw a switch that I thought stopped the elevators. I figured that because I was watching USA’s NCIS last night, how funny is that. I nod my head over to Kelly who sees it as well, she slips underneath Mathew and Caroline and slides pass the driver and Harry, her finger was not even an inch away. She stretched all she could and flipped the switch. The elevator stopped completely, the electricity went out, and all we could see was the light up floor buttons. Kelly guards the switch making sure no-one would think of it until we were threw with them. Harry was the first to speak, “girls we all need each other's cooperation, but this is not going to work right now”. I try to look at Kelly but I couldn't see her face. I pulled out my cell and used the flashlight app and looked around the elevator. Mathew, Caroline and Teddy were on the floor sitting down. Harry was just standing, and staring at the door; like nothing had happened. Kelly then jumped up on -top of Caroline, I try to pull her down until I saw what she was doing. She grabbed my hand and I had to step on Matthews and Teddy's head to get on-top of Kelly. We were reaching for the top of the elevator for our escape route, as I finally open it up; I notice a camera to the side of the elevator cart. I nudge Kelly carefully making sure we don't fall. She lifted me up and into the top of the elevator I sat there waiting for her. She jumps across Mathew and Caroline and steps on Harry, I practically almost fell down knowing that was a mistake. Harry still didn't do anything; Kelly grabbed the camera and tossed it back up to me. I caught it and pushed it down, watching it fall all-the way down the elevators machinery.
Kelly closes the ceiling door and we both sit on-top of the elevator, thinking of our next move. Someone must have hit the switch because it started to move again. Kelly poked me so I could notice the other elevator to the right. It was moving but very slowly. I nodded back to her. We both took each others hands, forgetting how dangerous as we jumped across to the other elevator. I made it successfully, but Kelly was hanging on a small part of the elevator. I looked down her hand was still attached to mine. I stepped back and yanked her hand up as she climbed her way to the top, like she was hiking up Mt.Everest. We sit above the elevator which was still moving, both of us laughing as we were gasping for air. I opened up and slid the ceiling door aside. Kelly jumped in first and just fell head-first into the floor. I went in and landed on my feet, sounds good but man was it a killer. About to high five each-other we noticed that we weren't the only ones in the elevator. Kelly and I turned around and saw to medical examiners that were caring what appeared to be a dead body. They both seemed to be speechless on our entry. Both Kelly and I almost hurled at the view of the poor soul who had been what looked like burned to death. Floor 22 opens up, I grab Kelly before she made any comments and we were out. We headed for the stairs so we could get out of this building. Behind the door was my father, staring down at me with disappointment.
Chapter 9- Interrogated by your Own | “Harry I know what you're going to say but just hold on a minute their just children, more specifically one is mine.”, I heard my father say to Harry and two other figures I couldn't capture out.” I’m sorry Mr.B but you know as well as I do that you have no authority to do anything with this case. According to our company's rules and regulations we can't let anyone get involved on any case that includes a personal relationship to an agent.” Harry firmly said back to my father. “Look Harry I have known you long enough to say that you're never a rules and regulations kind of guy let me handle this please.” I heard Harry tell Teddy to deal with us and told my father to deal with his emotions later and go inside the observation room. Teddy walks in and sees me and Kelly heads laid upon each-others. I peeked my eye-lids just a tab bit open to see his reaction. Teddy walked over to the extra chair in the back corner and dragged it back to the desk where Kelly and I were. He sat down and slammed his feet upon the desk. Witched fully woke Kelly and I up. He pulled out the letter Kelly and I found out by the creek, they must have got it by searching Kelly's bag. Thankfully my phone was still in my pocket them not knowing anything yet. Kelly gave me a look that was like somewhat of a nod, I responded similar trying to not give them any signals. Kelly and I had created a back-up plan or story that we would tell if something like this happened. We thought of it as we were roaming through the forest looking for the bait-shop. Kelly took the first move by talking first: “Look Teddy, can I call you Ted? (She's always good at getting people off-topic). “Whatever is easier”, he says back with a smirk. “Listen Ted I don't know what you're getting at, but I found that letter in Jenny's bag when she left it in Rhianna's room a while back”.
Teddy said nothing just sat there, like he was waiting for us to blurt out the whole story. Like that would ever happen, sometimes I think the adults underestimate us. I got out of my seat, as well as Kelly we both moved our seats to the other side of the table. Kelly then dragged Teddy's chair followed by him in it to the other side. I held him down so he wouldn't jump out of the seat, we placed it where our previously seats were. Together we sat down and started out by saying the same question, why don't you tell us about Jenny and Operation Benet. Teddy was lost still getting over the fact that two teenage girls outsmarted him by changing whose getting interrogated. Kelly was enjoying it a little too much, she gladly started off.“Look Teddy I don't care how many questions you or Caroline, or Mathew, or Harry, or even Mr.B will ask! But get this in your head this company has its secrets, and problems as well as do I. So why don't we take our information to each-other or-“, Kelly got cut off by someone's entry through the door. Kelly backs away from Teddy and nearly clasped on the ground, followed by me falling back and hitting my head against the clear two-way glass wall; in the back of the room.
Chapter 10- Alive and Well | After Kelly and I woke up we noticed that we were lying down in a bed the medical examiner room on the last floor, in NCIS still. Holding ice-packs on our heads to our surprise we saw the living dead. It was Jenny! Kelly and I were stuttering our words, trying to get this processed. Jenny didn't look like herself though; she was dressed in baggie boot-cut jeans, and a black tang- top, covered by a small, sport, gray jacket, with a “I heart soccer pin” on the side of it. This was weird for us to see since Jenny like this she always told us that we should never ever where knock off clothing. She was always a girly girl never once laid her hands on everything dirty. Yet we were seeing her with an I heart soccer and sport get up. It was like anther her. Like the Jenny we knew actually did die that day, and showed us this stranger. Speechless non-one has still said anything, just observing, and predicting what might be said next. Jenny was the first to break the silence, “I know you girls our confused and have questions but I need to know all what we girls know so we can get through this together”. We all look at each-other; I nodded to Jenny followed by Kelly who gave me our back-up plan signal that we used in the interrogation room. “Good, Jenny begins to say like she's about start a long history speech. Expect this speech will not be boring, nor fantasy, it'll be our answerers to everything we've been looking for. “Why don't I start alright, I think thats best. According to the U.S. Navy and all of America my name is not Jenny, it's Emily. And I’m not a girly-girl babysitter I’m a Level 8 Master Sergeant for the U.S. Navy. I’ve worked on many confidential operations including Operation-”. Kelly cut her off knowing what those few words were going to be “Operation Benet”. Jenny or now “Emily” responded back “Yes” with some curiosity, but not wanting to waste time asking. She started off again but this time like it was a children's story that I’ve begun to grow very bored of.
“Operation Benet, allowed me to go undercover as Jenny your babysitter/nanny. I had to go undercover because I knew Rick would come and I couldn't risk letting him know my true identity.” “If Rick didn't know who you were than what was his reason for coming and more importantly killing you!” I say back with a clam voice, trying to not make the situation even worse than it already is. Jenny trying to find her words finally put herself together and finished her statement. “I was assigned to protect you to girls; you were Ricks, Roses and all of the (Freedom Haters) organization from Israel. They're highly trained killers, not hunter's, killers. We thought their mission was to use you girls as bait to get Mr.B”. “You thought”, Kelly begins to say with her snippy voice, “What you mean you thought! What would anyone possibly want from us were just two 13 year old girls trying to live a life! But no, there are always secrets and drama and death, I don't care no more what anyone thinks I want to know the facts!” “You want the facts or the truth?” Jenny yells out into Kelly's face.
Chapter 11- Sister say what now? | “Both of them were up and into each-others face; Harry and the medical examiners were off to the side, and still no sign of my father anywhere. I decided I needed to step in before an unneeded blood flight started. I jump my head in-between their faces, “This is not like an of you, Jenny's right Kelly no matter how mad we are at her right now we need to work together and get through this”. They back away and Kelly takes a slow and deep breath. Jenny starts again from where she's left off. “I know this is hard to take in but you girls aren't normal you're special, in a positive way. Rhianna, Kelly you girls are sisters, your mother was my best friend. But more importantly she was the director of NCIS. Your real father died protecting her from the same group of terrorists that our after you girls now. Mr.B is your mother's brother he took Rhianna in and his 2nd cousins adopted Kelly. “Excuse me”, I said like as if I was Kelly. “How could no-one tell us this, our whole lives has been a lie? Everyone I thought I knew isn't real! Not even my own father, or should even I call him that anymore?” Then I knew why my “dad” didn't want to show up to this lovely meeting. The room was covered in silence even the medical examiners were speechless, and that was very odd considering they're the ones who love to talk. Everyone except for me and Kelly then left the room. We were surrounded in our sorrow, and was shocked on what had just happened. Kelley and I always wanted to be sisters, we always felt like it but I never wanted to discover our dream of sister-hood to come true this way.
I looked at Kelly trying to see her reaction on all this. She was trying to say something but nothing came out, not even a sassy comment or joke; she usually hides her feelings for something through jokes and come-backs. She acts tough but deep down she's like me unaware of what life does to you or what it will do. No matter how different she thought we were, we're always more alike especially now more than ever.Kelly seemed like she needed air, but I knew they wouldn't let out especially after the elevator situation. I grabbed Kelly's hand we walked each- other to the elevator slowly. She clicked on the main lobby where Ted's, Caroline's Mathew's and Mr.B’s desks were. There was a vending machine, on the corner of my so called father's desk. I looked over to see of my father was there, empty not even a recent cup of coffee, which he can't even live without. I was looking at his desk second-guessing myself on my feelings for if they really were true or not, then something interrupted my brain. We bumped into the medical examiners that were in the elevator that Kelly and I had jumped on-to earlier. The youngest one gave us a snotty face that was like saying “you immature little brats”. Before Kelly and I walked away she was about to say a come-back but I could tell she was to heart-broken to. Then right there I knew we had a problem, if Kelly couldn't do the one thing she loves most to do to people (come-backs to people who deserves them) how could she even go on, a total wreck.
Chapter 12- Somewhat of a Master Plan- Vent Struggle | I was about to comfort Kelley but she slipped her hand away from mine and whispered a brilliant plan. It was risky but completely worth it. Our goals have changed we no-longer our worried about the , actually they should even be worried about us getting them. That terrible monster group killed our mother, which made us live in the lie-life. Now our number one priority was to find out what "Freedom-Haters" wanted with NCIS only girl director, and make them pay for what they did, for what we could have had. Kelly's plan would only help us get the information but not the pay-back; we'd have to figure that part out later. We quietly went into the ladies room and jumped on-to the sink, Kelly on my back reaching for the ceiling trying to get the vent cover off, so we could climb inside. Finally Kelly slid the top off the air-vent, and slid herself inside the vent. I took some-toilet paper from the stalls and stacked it up to help me get high-enough to reach Kelly's hand. She grabbed my hand and yanked me up slowly so we wouldn't fall out. We turned our bodies around facing the two tunnels that laid before us in the air-vents. Kelly deiced that we should split up, and contacts the other if we find the director's or Harry office. We need to find the file- Operation Benet; it was our only clue to find out what they would want with our mother and more importantly us. As I was rooming the vents (which felt like forever), I heard a whistle, it came from the tunnel across from me, I figured it was Kelly telling me she found his office. I got to say though I was pretty surprised that the vents didn't have any motional sensors or anything. For complete level high access you think this company would have level high security as well. I wobble myself over to Kelly side of the vent, as slow as I could. She noticed me and pointed her figure down to a room that might have been Harry's.
Together we took both our heads and looked down into the room, to make sure the cost was clear to go inside. Nobody was in, that meant the first part of our plan would work after all. Kelly took out a bobby pin that she had in her hair and started to unscrew the bolts that held the vents together. We both lifted up the vent and tossed it to the side like we were in a rush to go in. Before I jumped out I thought what if they were looking for us; of course they would be we were the only thing able to lead them to the (Freedom Haters) and if they lost us everything would be in ruins. I put my thoughts aside and jumped down into the room followed by Kelly. Kelly shifted over to Harry's desk searching for the document, totally blowing off Harry's privacy. As Kelly was looking for the file I was looking around for a hidden safe just like in the movies, but found nothing but his personal belongings. Then it hit me, literally. Kelly was making a mess, going for each draw leaving a trial of her presence everywhere. A little note-pad that she flew slid across my fore-head. I picked it up a read the following numbers- 15, 43, 18, 9. I figured it was some kind of code.Kelly immediately stopped throwing papers in the air and went over to where I was standing to see the code. We had our first clue; all of our answers though were held in a safe. Which would soon be in our hands, if we could ever find it that is? I then saw something shiny behind one of Harry's favorite portraits of him in Tokyo. We both gave each other a nod, and removed the picture and sent it on the ground, shocked and speechless at what we were looking at.
Chapter 13- Secrets Still Remain | Kelly immediately stopped throwing papers in the air and went over to where I was standing to see the code. We had our first clue, all of our answers though are held in the safe. Which would soon be in our hands, if we could ever find it that is? I then saw something shiny behind one of Harry's favorite portrait of him in Tokyo. We both gave each-other a nod, and removed the picture and sent it on the ground, shocked and speechless at what we were looking at. It was one of those old tiny room elevators, the light must have been shining on the metal knob causing it to sparkle. I’m the biggest and tallest so I got in first. Kelly sat upon my lap so we could both fit and go down together. As were squeezed against each-other both of us said nothing as going down to what felt like lower than a basement. We were getting closer and closer into the darkness. The so called elevator suddenly stopped, about a feet from where our destination should be. Both of us were pushing the door trying to get the sides to open then noticed movement outside it was somebody's feet pasty back and forth. I couldn't tell by the feet that it was, but thankfully the person was talking on the phone. Kelley immediately recognized who it was; Harry. Confused on what to do, I pray to myself that Harry wouldn't see us. Kelly notices my reaction and shushes me, she's trying to figure out what exactly Harry is pasting and talking about.
But its too late Harry hangs up the phone and sits on a barrel that he had knocked down earlier. With his hands over his face, Harry does something that I’ve never seen him do, he begins to cry. Harry has always been there for Kelly and I, always been strong and never showed any sign of weakness. What could make a man like him cry in an instant? I could tell Kelly noticed this too because she began to feel more sympathy for Harry. Ever since what happened with Rose she's been taking everything with caution. Kelly's moving around the shaft interrupted my thought process. What she did next may have been her biggest mistake.
Chapter 14- Harry's Betrayal | Kelly lifts the handle to our little shaft that's containing us and begins to open it up. I know what she's doing, she feels so bad for Harry she just wants to comfort him, but doing that would blow our cover. I try to hold her hand back but its too late she's already out and running towards Harry. She hugs in thinking he'd give the same emotion back yet he give her a sense of discomfort. I see harry touch Kelly's hand and with watching multiple moves of Jackie-Jan I can tell what he's about to do to her next. I launch out of the shaft and head for Kelly whose still thinks shes comforting Harry. Harry twists Kelly's hand and she tumbles to the floor. I try to go after Harry but seeing Kelly cradling over her wrist tells me she needs more than Harry needs a beating. I run to Kelly's side but something that felt like a shot entered my stomach and suddenly I’m keeling to the floor leaning right against Kelly.
The last thing I see before every-thing goes dark is the smirk across Harry's face as he kneels down and whispers in my hear with an sarcastic tone “The Good Die young”.
Chapter 15- Rhiana’s Containment | I wake up still with a daze. The first thing I do is look for Kelly she's nowhere to be found, I reach for my phone but then realize I left in the bathroom at NCIS headquarters, thankfully I had erased all the videos and photo's that would show any relation to Roses death and us. I try to bend forward but something is blocking my capability and making hardly any movement. I try to turn my head back to see what the structure is, I was tied to an fish net that was hooked up to an safe. A safe, think to myself whoever is holding us they must know that I have the code that Kelly and I found in Harry's office, other-wise they wouldn't of left a safe in the same room as me. I try hard as possible to get my eyes adjusted to the dark, because nothing besides the small glow of an window is turn any light. The window is low enough for me too look through; I gently slide my waist to the right to see through it. I see a small glimpse of the sun and the rest is all pure water.
Water, the liquid that I grew up with, it used to represent my home, now all it shows it regret, confusion, my “fathers” work. I now forever hate water. Which makes matters worse because then is when I put the pieces together that I’m on a naval ship, Harry must of pulled some strings but he is the direction he could get anything within word. Harry the name slips out of my mouth with a bitter taste, which used to be like pure sweet candy. His betrayal will never be forgotten in my mind. I lean my head back wanting to not think at all. To be back home, back at school goofing off with Kelly, I now really wish Jenny was dead, I Wished Mr.B never adopted me I wished my mother was alive and that Kelly and I found out who was our father who tried all he could to save our mother. I wished the Freedom haters would leave this family alone at let me be with my sister. As soon as I said the word sister, tears fell from my dried out pupils. Then at that very moment I heard the door open and in came a person who I knew was a member of the Freedom-Haters.
Chapter 16- Negotiating | I was expecting some-one who I knew to walk in and either save me or beat me, yet it was a stranger a man wearing green and black camouflage suit. He had a black beard and an eye-patch; he spoke with an Arabic accent. He pulled out a small pocket-knife and waved it across my face, he continued you this for 10 minutes. Getting tried I nod my head and spit in his face, it landed straight in his eye! I try to reveal what seemed as a smile, he looks at me with disgust and points his knife towards my direction. I scream hoping some-one would hear, but then reminded myself I’m in the middle of the ocean. I lean as far back as possible turning my head, praying he wont cut my face or kill me before I see my sister. Then I feel it. He lashes the knife right in my arm. Blood imminently drains to the floor the only thing I know hate more than water is blood, epically when its my own. .
I try not to scream again but I can't help myself, instead I just let out multiple groans. The Arabic man laughs like that's nothing compared to what he really wanted to do to me. He leaves the room and leaves me alone in pain for what felt like hours. Every minute I would count to keep me from concentrating on the pain, and the dark cold room that stung my wound. I then learned that I was being watched, it took me a while but in the corner next to the window showed a sparkle and after starring at it for the rest of my time (instead of counting), I discovered it was a video camera.
