FC: Our Journey...
It all began with a conversation | and a few dates...
OK, maybe more than a few dates :)
Then... in August 2008 we took a trip to the Grand Canyon and hiked down the Bright Angel Trail. We couldn't make it all the way down the trail... so we stopped at this point. It was the most beautiful look out point of the hike.
It was also the spot that Kohei proposed to me! I was supposed to receive a "special package"... and boy did I! Of course the answer was, YES! and as we hiked back up, we got to see a rainbow. :)
With an engagement, came engagement photos! We got to take really fun photos at this "LOVE" sculpture. Don't we look like models? hahah. just kidding! ;)
November 22, 2008 marked our special day!
After the "I do's," we enjoyed our 1st trip as newly weds - Our Honeymoon - on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Visiting the Volcano & Kayaking/swimming with the dolphins | Hiking to the falls & snorkeling at Captain Cook's!
 Bye Bye, Hawaii!
 Hello, Japan!
We had another wedding banquet in Japan, and fortunately we got there just in time to see the Cherry Blossom in FULL Bloom! :)
And boy, time sure does fly. Before we knew it... we were celebrating our 1 year anniversary!
A beautiful day for a hot air balloon ride, along with champagne, hor d'oeuvres, and a magnificent sunset.
Can't forget to finish the night off with some good Japanese food!
As tradition holds, you're supposed to eat the top layer of your cake after 1 year. There was no cake leftover, but we did save some of our desserts... and as you can see from Kohei's face, it wasn't very tasty! | We also had some wonderful nephews and niece make some colorful chocolate dipped strawberries for us to enjoy :)
Our journey has not only included the two of us... as this book shows. Our family and friends have been very much a part of our lives too! There is so much more to share, and this is but a mere snap shot of "our love story". These 4 pictures of the parrots also show how our daily lives can look like, but it has been a wonderful blessing to experience each moment of it together :)
