S: My Chronicles

FC: Canwell Glacier Ski Tour

1: We started out on a beautiful sunny day, 25 above zero. The first four miles were flat.

2: We stopped for lunch at the glacial morraine. From there, it would be 2 miles and 4000 feet of elevation gain.

3: Lots of nice scenery along the way.

4: The first order of business was to get the tents set up.

5: We built snow walls around the tents in case of s storm during the night. It turned out we needed the protection.

6: Pretty soon our little community was ready.

7: A kitchen with all the comforts of home; An igloo that slept four skiers in comfort; Even the dogs got their own shelter.

8: The next morning, we awoke to a storm. The dim light would make skiing down very difficult.

9: But we made it!
