S: Climbing Mt. Rainier

BC: And this was the view as we were driving away!!

FC: Climbing Mt. Rainier, WA

 Looks ominous as we approach!

I'm having second thoughts about climbing this....

Okay, now it doesn't look so bad...right?

Resting up in the parking lot... brrrr!

 Here we go!

This isn't so bad..but boy, that's far away.

 Um...we're going up THERE?

Yes, I guess we are! My husband is wearing his crampons for walking in the ice.

Hard to believe we are in shorts and t-shirts, but it's HOT!

 He thinks he's funny.

We're starting to come out of the trees now...

Lots of people are climbing today because it's beautiful!

It doesn't look like it's far, but see that tiny person on the right? Very far away!

Some people, not me, were skiing down this slope. See the marks in the snow?

 Rest stop! Photo op!

This was the decent part of the trail. Most of it was covered with snow.

About here, I started to change my mind and said I wanted to turn around.

Of course, we trudged on a little farther.

Then it got wickedly steep, so I stopped and put my foot down! "I'm not going any further!" Luckily, my husband saw my distress, and we headed back to the car, HOURS away, but at least we were going in the right direction now!
