FC: Roche Family Christmas Trip Daytona Beach 2008

1: December 2008 at the Wydham Hotel, Daytona Beach, Ocean Walk | Here we all are on our annual Roche family Christmas trip. Every year Bob and JoAnne graciously host as many families that can get away. After a family vote last year we chose Daytona Beach for 2008. This year we had a special treat. A lot of the older cousins could make it, including Nicole, Collin, Kevin, Bobby, Jimmy & girlfriend Katlin, and Jack. The hotel has several amazing pools and is situated right on the beach. Also, another great feature is that the hotel in next to a small shopping area that has a movie theatre. This was great for the chillier days.

3: Jim coolin' it by the pool. He found this great place to sit back, enjoy the weather and see what's happening in the news.

4: Slip, Slidin'... Away! The hotel had several great pools, both inside and out. They even had their own water slide, which Tommy really loved!

5: Meghan loved the hotel water playground too! The hotel had so many fun activities we almost didn't need to leave it the whole trip.

19: Tommy and Meghan had a blast in and out of the water. Between the sand, and surf these two really ruled the beach!

25: Collin | Collin helps to get the ball rolling by belting out a Beatle's classic, "Oh, Darlin". | oh, Darlin

26: Mary & Bob | Brown eyed girl | Mary and Bobby sing a little Van Morrison, "Brown Eyed Girl".

27: Jeff | Twist and Shout | Jeff croons another great Beatles hit, "Twist and Shout". He also plays a mean blow-up guitar!

28: Jack & Jim | Born to be wild | Jack and Jim sing an old hit from high school. A little tune by Steppenwolf.

29: Kevin & Joe | Hotel california | Kevin and Joe doing a little Eagles for the crowd.

30: Kevin & Collin | Ob-la-di, ob-la-da | Kevin and Collin sing another Beatles hit. It's a great crowd sing-a-long, esp. during the chorus.

31: Bob | Wild Thing | Bobby fires away at this classic little number.

32: Kevin | Love her madly | Kevin dives into a classic by the Doors, "Don't you love her madly.."

33: Theresa & Maria | Bohemian Rhapsody | Theresa and Maria duet the sad little song by Queen "Bohemian Rhapsody".

34: Collin & Joe | Buttercup | Collin and Joe sing another Beatles hit, "Build me up, Buttercup".

35: Mary & Jeff | Cruisin' | Mary & Jeff perform a little duet, Huey Lewis & Gwenyth Paltrow style! "I love it when we're cruisin together..."

36: Collin, Kevin and friend... | Yellow Submarine | Collin, Kevin and some guy Kevin made friends with at the bar, sing the silly tale about a yellow sub!

37: Don't let the sun go down on me | Jeanne & weird dude from the bar | Chuck enlists a reluctant Jeanne to help with this emotional Elton John song. "...although I search myself, there's always someone else I see.."

38: Jack & Joe Although the D.J. didn't pick the right version of "American Pie", Jack and Joe still belted out this classic with ease. | American Pie

39: Theresa, Kevin, Jack & Kate | Tearin' up my heart | No karaoke session would be complete without a little N'Sync. Here Theresa, Kevin, Jack and Kate ham up this vintage 90's song.

40: Bob, Kevin | & Jack | Hootie & the blowfish | Bob, Kevin & Jack have fun with the 90's classic by Hootie and the Blowfish...

41: & Jack | Hold my hand | ...we especially love this band because we know a couple of the band members, Mark Bryan and Dean Felber.
