2: On the ROAD In-n-Out, Reno. Our first stop. We ordered "Animal Fries" ...off menu.

3: lovelock, nevada twin falls, idaho ashton, idaho

4: Yellowstone | West Entrance, Celestine Pool at Fountain Paint Pots

8: Dragon's Mouth was steamy and boisterous and kind of scary. The landscape was barren. We were happy to arrive at the serenity and lushness of Fishing Bridge. One of the few places in the park, we saw a dog.

10: Buffalo | Buffalo greeted us everyday and everywhere in the park. We followed instructions and didn't get too close.

13: Our plans for a picnic came undone when it starting snowing. We ate pb & huckleberry jam in the Canyon Lodge.

14: BEARS jon wanted to hike here, near the petrified trees. He thought there might be bears. And there were! Our song & keys kept them at bay.

18: Cody just east of Yellowstone, home to Wild West Shows and grandiose miniature villages!

20: Buffalo Bill Historical Center Cody, Wyoming

24: On the ROAD From Greybull to the Little Bighorn

25: Little Bighorn National Monument This area memorializes one of the last armed efforts of the Northern Plains Indians to preserve their way of life. Here in 1876, 263 soldiers and attached personnel of the U.S. Army, including Lt. Col. George A. Custer, met death at the hands of several thousand Lakota and Cheyenne warriors.

27: Rocky Fork Inn Former hair stylist and North Dakota native, Kathy was our host. She provided awesome beds and private baths!

30: Beartooth Pass "America's most scenic byway" Charles Kuralt

33: Passing through Yellowstone to visit Mammoth Hot Springs.

34: Bozeman

35: Museum of the Rockies, Bozeman, Montana

39: Back through Yellowstone, again. More steam and buffalo.

41: Grand Teton National Park

42: Our first hike in the Grand Tetons. The Aspens and Cottonwoods made everything very yellow! | By this time, we were very relaxed!

46: Hiking in Grand Teton National Park The day began with a boatride to a trail that lead to a waterfall and a lookout point. We ended with a hike in Moose habitat.

48: Salt Lake City: Mornon Temple We stayed one night in Salt Lake City. It was great to visit the temple and learn more about the Mormons. The two young missionaries who provided the tour (with a song at the end) were from Korea and Russia.

49: On the ROAD: Truckee, our final stop before home. We began in Salt Lake that morning.
