FC: Nepal summer 2009

1: In the summer of 2009, Aisling Grogan, Sanam Sidhu, Zara Ibrahim, and I participated in volunteering at Kanti Children's Hospital in Kathmandu, Nepal

2: Kanti Children's Hospital | KCH is the only pediatric hospital in Nepal. It currently offers 250 beds, and over half are free or partially free to the patients.

We witnessed many cases we would not have observed as frequent in North America, such as typhoid, hepatitis, malaria, and Japanese Encephalitis.

4: The Orphanage

5: During the weekends, we visited our coordinator's orphanage. We helped the children with their homework, and played with them. They seemed to have endless amount of energy to play!

6: Kathmandu Valley

9: World Peace Pagoda
