FC: panama canal

1: June 23 2009

2: gamboa rainforest resort in the panama canal. we went on a business and 35th anniversary trip. the mist is every morning and every evening.

3: stepping out on the patio is like a rain shower, the mist is so heavy. plants and trees are very tropical and vibrant.

5: the huts you see can be rented from the government for one dollar a night for travelers going down the canal. | Cargo ships and fishermen are part of the daily traffic on the Panama Canal.

6: A Morning trip to Monkey Island. Using a Gamboa guide and boat. | As we travel down, we spy a baby crocodile. We don't want to go swimming because Momma will be around!

8: cargo ships come from all over and have to go through the panama canal. its the busiest port in the world.

11: bill and made the climb up the view tower it was hot and muggy but what a view

12: Ants certainly have interesting ways of making a home in the tree.

13: Beauty... | ...in nature.

15: Nature is so intricate!

16: this guy isn't shy

19: nature at it's best | still wonders

20: we traveled by canoe to the falls and then to a native tribe who still live the old ways

22: we arrived at the village where they cooked us a meal.we were wet and chilled so the fire felt good,they did a traditional dance for us.

23: mike our fearless leader | villagers coming to greet us | the kitchen and making us lunch | lots of fruit and fish

25: old time rock and roll the tribal way.this is not a show but the real thing

28: the old city of panama the Spanish burned to stop other from settling there

30: government buildings and historical buildings

31: old and new parts of panama city

32: panama princess and street players

33: we traveled to the end of our journey with new memory's
