S: Washington D.C. 2009

BC: Maybe next time we can visit the museums!

FC: December 18-21

1: We flew in to Washington D.C. Friday night as it started snowing. We stayed at the Hyatt on Capitol Hill.

2: We woke up to a winter wonderland and it was still coming down. We ventured out in the blizzard and headed towards the capitol! | Saturday, December 19th

3: Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

4: The capitol

6: We toured the capitol and even got to sit in on the senate that was in session. We were the last tour of the capitol before they closed it due to the blizzard!

10: It was really, really cold!

11: All bundled up and nowhere to go, but to play in the snow!

12: We got 24 inches of snow...

13: and everything closed down!

14: The snow finally stopped falling and the end result was breathtaking! | Sunday, December 20th

25: The reflecting pool was frozen over.

29: We met our friend Melanie for lunch and then she brought us to the airport. We were so thankful that our flight was not delayed and that we made it home in time for Christmas!
