2: About Primannum... | The Primannum Honor Society is a University of Maryland Honor Society which represents two national honor societies, Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma. Both of these national honor societies recognize academic excellence during a student's first year in college. The purpose of these organizations is: to encourage superior academic achievement among students to promote intelligent living and a continued high standard of learning to assist women and men in recognizing and developing meaningful goals for thier roles in society | 2

20: EVENT: FALL INDUCTION WHEN: 11/10/13 WHERE: Memorial Chapel What: New members were inducted into Primannum Honor Society as well as the national Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma Honor Societies. Students who received a 4.0 GPA for Spring 2013 semester were also recognized. Guest speaker Dr. William Dorland spoke about the importance of conquering a college education. 25: Under the direction of the VP of Academic Enrichment and the Academic Enrichment Committee, Primannum has been able to successfully provide a free, one-on-one tutoring program for members. Tutors and tutees are matched at the beginning of the semester. To this day, Primannum tutors have tutored a whopping 90 college-level courses at UMD. Some subjects include Arabic, Computer Science, Business, Chemistry, History, and Math, among many others. | TUTORING | 25
26: THE ARTS | Music education was a big part of our year. Students were educated in various instruments, including the piano, violin, viola, cello, guitar, electric bass, and voice. We had two concerts this year, in the fall and spring. These provide students with performance experience and build confidence. This year we focused on classic foundational music.

31: This year the Cougars made it all the way to the state championships! We worked really hard this year on teamwork and developing our dribbling and free throws. The team did an amazing job working on advancing their skills. | GO TEAM!
