How You Can Help: Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Every day, 46 children are diagnosed with cancer in the United States. It is a diagnosis no parent ever wants to hear and no child should ever have to deal with.

When a child is going through cancer treatment, they’ll face long hospital stays, treatments that last months or even years, too many medications to count and uncertainty about the future.

This September is National Childhood Cancer Awareness month. And because care is at the core of our Mixbook values we are honored to be partnering with the Children's Cancer Research Fund (CCRF) this September in helping to bring more awareness around childhood cancers for families experiencing this journey.

Together with CCRF, we've created a set of photo book's to provide these families with a creative outlet to reflect on their personal stories with childhood cancer. This exclusive collection focuses on reflection, resilience, and hope. It offers families a way to beautifully document their personal journeys and stories while giving them a way to memorialize those who live on in our hearts.

Did you know that more than half of all pediatric cancer research funding comes from CCRF and other foundations, and not from government funding? This is because many childhood cancers are deemed “too rare” to study, leading to huge funding gaps for the research needed to cure them.

Better treatments and cures always start with philanthropy. To help fill that gap, Mixbook will be donating 100% of the proceeds to CCRF from the collection to fight childhood cancer.
