1: A is for the Alamo. It was established in San Antonio and still stands in its very spot. It was also called San Antonio De Valaro. The Alamo battle occured in 1836 and lost more than 1,500 soldiers. | A Alamo

2: B is for Blockade. It is the isolating, closing off, or surrounding of a place, as a port, harbor, or city, by hostile ships or troops to prevent entrance or exit. | B Blockade

3: C is for Cabeza de Vaca. He was a spanish conquistador and while looking for treasure, he got shipwreched in Galveston and ended up living with the Koronkawas. He was also named God Q. | C Cabeza De Vaca

4: D is for Dictator. It is a person excersising absolute power, especially a ruler who has absolute, unrestricted control in a government without any other control. | D Dictator

5: E is for Endowment Fund. I is an investment fund set up by an institution in which regular withdrawals from the invested capital are used for ongoing operations or other specified purposes. | E Endowment Fund

6: F is for Federalism. It is a system in which power is shared between the state and Federal Government. | F Federalism

7: G is for Grand Jury. It is a jury, at common law, of 12 to 23 persons, designated to inquire into alleged violations of the law in order to ascertain whether the evidence is sufficient to warrant trial. | G Grand Jury

8: H is for Holacaust. It was the event of a systematic mass slaughter of European Jews in Nazi concentration camps during world War II . Hitler was their main dictator. | H Holacaust

9: I is for Individual rights. Individual citizens have right that are written in Billof rights. Some rights are freedom of speech, right to keep and bear arms,and eight others. These rights help you be a free citizen. | I Individual Rights

10: J is for Juneteenth. It happened on June 19, celebrated by African-Americans as the anniversary of the emancipation of slaves in Texas on June 19, 1865. | J Juneteenth

11: K is for Korankawas. They lived in the Coastal region of Texas. They had greater advantages because they used Coastal fishing and the way of transportation. | K Koronkawas

12: L is for Limited Government. It is a type of government in which its functions and powers are prescribed, limited, and restricted by law . | L Limited Goverment

13: M is for Massacre. It is the the unnecessary, indiscriminate killing of a large number of human beings or animals, as in barbarous warfare or persecution or for revenge or plunder, usually in wars or fights. | M Massacre

14: N is for Nomads. They are people who do not have permanent homes and move from one place to another for a better life. | N Nomad

15: O is for Oversight. It is the power that other branches can check the other branches to see if their decisions are constitutional. | O Oversight

16: P is for Presidioes. It is a fortified base established by the spanish and Mexicans. They were built to protect against pirates and indians around missions. | P Presidio

17: Q is for Queen Isabella. She is the queen that let Christopher Columbus go to his shorter route that discover the new land. | Q Queen Issabella

18: R is for Republic. A republic is a form of government in which the people, or some significant portion of them, retain supreme control over the government. | R Republic

19: S is for Subsidence crops. They are crops that are eaten on the same location that they are grown. Popular subsidence crops are corn or other vegetables. | S Subsidence Crop

20: T is for Texas Rangers. They were the Texans who helped battle the indians ton prevent the killing of Buffalow. They also helped protect the Texan border. | T Texas Rangers

21: U is for Union. the Union was a name used to refer to the federal government of the United States, which was supported by the twenty free states and five border slave states. It was opposed by 11 Southern slave states that had declared a secession to join together to form the Confederacy. | U Union

22: V is for Vigilante. They are the people who punish criminals. They are kinda like the police. | V Vigilante

23: W is for William B. Travis. He was one of the fighters of the battle of the alamo. He was also one of the first to die. | W William B. Travis

24: X is for Executive. It is one of the 3 government branches of Texas. The are the ones who pass or veto bills. | X Executive

25: Y is For Coupus Christi de ylsleta. It was one of the first missions. It was also the most succesful. | Y Corpus Christi De La sleyta

26: Z is for Zavala. He was one of the most talented, and capable of many native Texans involved in the Texas struggle for the independence of Texas. | Z Zavala, de Lorenzo
