5: CURE YOURSELF | 1. iF BITE IS NOT BLEEDING SERVERLY, WASH THE WOUND THOROUGHLY WITH MILD SOAP AND RUNNING WATER FOR 3 - 5 MINUTES. THEN COVER THE BITE WITH ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT AND A CLEAN DRESSING 2. IF BITE IS ACTIVELY BLEEDING, APPLY DIRECT PRESSURE WITH A CLEAN, DRY CLOTH UNTILL THE BLEEDING STOPS RINSE AREA OF THE BITE. 3. IF BITTEN ON HAND OR FINGERS CALL THE DOCTOR A.S.A.P 4. NEXT 48 HOURS ARE CRITICAL, WATCH AREA FOR INFECTION. IF INFECTION ACCURS CALL YOUR DOCTOR!!
6: SEE A DOCTOR | YOUR DOCTOR WILL: - examine the wound for possible nerve damage, tendone damagage or bone injury -clean wound with special solution & remove damaged tissue -may use stiches, but often wound is left open to heal which can loswer the risk of infection. -if injury is server they will suggest you see a specialist
7: PREVENTION | -do not try to spereate fighting animals - Leave eating animal alone -keep pets on leash in public -select family pet carefully -never leave young children alone
9: ANIMAL SCRATCHES | THEY ARE JUST AS DANGEROUS. NOT ONLY CAN YOU GET RABIES BUT YOU CAN GET TETANUS ALSO!!!
10: "CAT SCRATCH DISEASE" | A bacterial infection you can catch by getting scratched by a kitten

15: Rabies: stage 1 -inital period of vague syptoms, lasting 10 days -syptoms inclusde: fever, heach, mallaise, decreased appetite, vomiting, pain, itching or numbeness and tingling at the site of the wound | Rabies: stage 2 -"foaming at the mouth"-difficuty swallowing -becoming paralyzed -agitated & disoranted -immediate death, or coma resulting in death from other complications

17: PREVENTION | -Avoid strange and sick animals -Do not approch wild animals you are un sure of -Supervise pets, incase they interacr with wild animals
