3: Occupations -1969 - Photograph - Shows Kiefer dressed in military uniform peforming the Nazi salute - Multiple pictures - show same image except in France and Italy - One of most controversial works - Do the pictures express a distrubing desire for the past Nazi regime or does it satirize the dreams of the Nazi empire? - "I have to reenact what they did just a little bit in order to understand the madness."
