4: Summary Eliza Doolittle's mother died and her father took her away to work in a shirt factory. She ran away and started selling flowers off the streets. She sold flowers for three years. She met Mr. Higgins because he was talking to Eliza's friend Billy. She wanted | a job in the flower shop so she went to Mr.Higgins for speech lessons.Mr. Higgins and Pickering made a bet and he's suppose to make her into a lady in six months. They take her to Ascot for a trial run before the ball. Everyone loved her and couldn't wait to see her again. They go to the ball and everyone was glad to see her. 11: Recommendation I think "My Fair Lady" is a good book because this book is a good story. If you like old stories then you will more than likely like this one. A girl from very low in society to everyone wanting to be her friend. A man who cares nothing for women or even other people comes to care a lot for this one girl.
