Oh, GSMST, Why do your walls suffocate me so? Why does each day seem like the last? Why do colours no longer have value? Why am I addicted to the faint glow of my laptop? Oh, GSMST, Do you feel the same pain as I? The same thing, every day? Or is it easy for you to dish out your punishment? Your rationality behind your actions seems strong, But it is not what I need. Oh, GSMST, It’s too hard to continue, Not knowing if I can or cannot survive through it all, Without losing my mind, And becoming something different. Oh, GSMST, With your sleeplessness and hours of homework, Your walls contain a sort of torture unknown to most people, Something that is only known by those who go here, Of constant test and limited time, With no time for ourselves, To do what we want, Oh, GSMST, Though your mistakes are numerous, And you are slowly killing me, Making me go insane, I still love you.

Where I'm from I’m from the blood of my ancestors, Their troubles and hardships, I’m from my father's pain and hate, His sadness and love I’m from the heart of my love, Her words and thoughts flow through me, But there can be no rest, For those who do not know peace And I want to, But I can’t All I know is hate, And sadness, And greed, The world is sad to me, Lonely and empty, And so dark,

Where I’m from, The sun does not smile upon, But we think it does, Because it seems bright, But we don’t realize that it’s not Where I’m from, The cotton grows, And the flowers don’t wilt, And a mountain of stone looms near us, The clay is red and deep, Where I’m from, Hate is the god, Upon which all of us pray, And believe, I am from the Earth, Where humanity has convinced itself it is the true ruler, Where the inhabitants disrespect their host, Where I’m from, My love is with another, And hers is with me, But many others may never know that joy, Their lives ended before they are done

Where I’m from, We try to be perfect, We all want to believe in a perfect world, We think that chaos will make it real, But it won’t, Where I’m from, The poor, unfortunate ones die, While the undeserving live on, Where I’m from, Parents send their children to their graves, For a purpose with no purpose, And they all die, And the ones who kill them, Are only protecting their own children, and their partners, Where I’m from, Maybe we’re cynical, And skeptical, And usually irrational, But we should live on because, Maybe, just maybe, We will forget about our differences one day, Eventually, Where I’m from, I know that we’ll all become nothingness, But I want my children to be happy, My parents to be happy, My love to be happy, And for me to be happy Where I’m from, I will live on.

I see my mother, Cooking to her best, (though I do wish it was my dad cooking) She tries to bake the shrimp, But forgot how to change the temp, ( if my dad was in there) I saw something olive-coloured, And even a bottle of mustard, (Oh how I wish she wouldn’t cook) Was that something dead? Or maybe it was just too red, You could even say as red as a beat, Has she forgotten that Baeli doesn’t like meat? (Why must my mom insist on cooking?) Speaking of Baeli, She has just come in, Saying how nice my mother’s cooking was, Oh lord, why must she lie? (Why can’t someone tell her cooking’s bad?)

Language Arts, It requires lots of smarts, there's alliteration, yet not one equation, Oh, It helps my mind as it departs!

This song uses repetition, end rhyme, personification, and alliteration. The song is also poetic because it has a much deeper meaning. At face value, it seems like a cliché song about an angsty teen who dislikes the world. But in actuality, it is about how we must try to change ourselves as a human race, and attack what is wrong, not with our fists, but with our actions and how we try to change it.

Attack! Breathing each other's lives Holding this in mind That if we fall, we all fall And we fall alone The cold insincerity of steel machines Have consumed our euphoria Transforming us into muted dreams Dreaming of the day that We attack Attack, attack your fetal servitude We attack Attack, attack, attack with pesticide We attack All the years of propaganda We shall attack! Books illustrate what we already know Candles cry towards the sky Racing your flags along polluted coast Dreaming of the day that We attack Attack, attack your fetal servitude We attack Attack, attack, attack with pesticide We attack All the years of propaganda We shall attack! Attack! (Attack!)

Annabel Lee It was many and many a year ago, In a kingdom by the sea, That a maiden there lived whom you may know By the name of ANNABEL LEE;-- And this maiden she lived with no other thought Than to love and be loved by me. She was a child and I was a child, In this kingdom by the sea, But we loved with a love that was more than love-- I and my Annabel Lee-- With a love that the winged seraphs of heaven Coveted her and me. And this was the reason that, long ago, In this kingdom by the sea, A wind blew out of a cloud by night Chilling my Annabel Lee; So that her high-born kinsman came And bore her away from me, To shut her up in a sepulchre

The angels, not half so happy in Heaven, Went envying her and me:-- Yes! that was the reason (as all men know, In this kingdom by the sea) That the wind came out of a cloud, chilling And killing my Annabel Lee. But our love it was stronger by far than the love Of those who were older than we-- Of many far wiser than we- And neither the angels in Heaven above, Nor the demons down under the sea, Can ever dissever my soul from the soul Of the beautiful Annabel Lee:-- For the moon never beams without bringing me dreams Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And the stars never rise but I see the bright eyes Of the beautiful Annabel Lee; And so, all the night-tide, I lie down by the side Of my darling, my darling, my life and my bride, In her sepulchre there by the sea-- In her tomb by the side of the sea.
