3: During the workshop we began with singing the “Pizza Hut” song together and then were divided into smaller groups that were required to sing different sections of the song; this eventuated into the group singing different parts at the same time, developing their ability to sing in parts. Within a classroom this activity could be used to demonstrate part work and how many parts can “fit” together to create a whole song, also with the actions that are used it develops the students coordination. Following this we got into groups of 4 -5 and introduced ourselves to the other students within our group, and then discussed our experiences within the arts and how we were feeling about the course at that time. Within our little groups we then wrote down on a piece of paper our thoughts and then decided how we would present this to the other members of the class. We were then sung a story in order to refocus us and then watched the group performances, which were all very interesting! This is useful in a classroom as it allows the group to refocus and come back together as a group.
