5: FRUIT SALAD INGREDIENTS: 2 RED APPLES, DICED 2 ORANGES, DICED 1 BOX FROZEN STRAWBERRIES WITH SUGAR (OR ADD 1/4 CUP SUGAR TO THE RECIPE) 1 CAN CRUSHED PINEAPPLE 1/2 CUP WALNUTS, BROKEN INTO PIECES DIRECTIONS: MIX TOGETHER AND SERVE. | fROM THE KITCHEN OF: MOMMY NY
6: Euro Salad 1 bag euro salad mix (or any lettuce) 1/2 cup dried cranberries 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds garlic croutons Mix them together except for the croutons. Dressing: 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tbsp vinegar 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1 tsp oil 1/2 tsp mustard Mix together until smooth and pour over salad. 8: Ruchy Weiss | Dill Dip | 1 bunch of dill checked 1/2 container mayonnaise 4 cloves garlic pickle juice BLEND & ENJOY!
9: By: Gitty Goldsten | Lemony vegetable Salad Shredded lettuce cubed tomatoes cubed peppers cubed cucumbers avocado cut into stripes olives sliced thinly. Combine any or all of the above. DRESSING: 2 tbs lemon juice 1 tbs olive oil 3/4 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1 clove garlic, minced Add to the vegetables and mix.
10: From the kitchen of Rifky Benedikt | Lettuce Salad with Cashew nuts 1 bag iceberg lettuce 1 red pepper, chopped 1 orange pepper, chopped 1 yellow pepper, chopped 1 handful yellow raisans 1 handful roasted salted cashews, chopped 2 tbs mayonnaise. | Directions: Toss lettuce and peppers together. Add mayonnaise and mix well. Throw cashews and raisans on top of salad. Prepare salad just before serving.

12: Peshy's Cabbage Salad: Salad: 2 bags shredded white cabbage 5 scallions or to taste 2 generous handfuls of roasted salted cashews 1 handful roasted sesame seeds Dressing: 7 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp oil 1/2 cup water 4 1/2 tbsp vinegar 3 tbsp mustard salt to taste | Directions: Shake together all the dressing ingredients. Combine salad ingredients. Add dressing just before serving. Top with the almonds and sesames.
13: Grilled Chicken Salad: chicken cutlets 1 bag lettuce 1 red onion, sliced cherry tomatoes 1 can baby corn, cut into small pieces MARINADE: 1 T. honey. 1 T. mustard, 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 1/2 cup oil 1/2 tsp lemon juice | Dressing: 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/4 cup oil 1 tbsp sugar 1 tsp soy sauce 1/4 tsp vinegar 1 clove garlic 1 tsp mustard 1/tsp salt | DIRECTIONS: Marinate chicken cutlets in marinade mixture for 24 hours. Grill on both sides. Cut cutlets into strips. Combine vegetables with chicken cutlets. Drizzle dressing over the salad. Toss lightly to combine. | By Fridi Steiff

17: Mommy NY's favourite | Split Pea Soup 1 cup yellow split peas 1 cup green split peas 1 cup northern beans 2 carrots peeled and shredded 1 whole onion 1/4 tsp black pepper 1/2 tsp garlic powder Directions: Put all the ingredients into and 8 gt pot.Saute on low flame for 20 min, stirring occasionally. Fill the pot with water, 3/4 full and cook on a high flame until it boils.Then lower the flame and cook for 3 hours.

20: BY: Gitty Goldstein | Butternut squash soup 2 onion sauteed 2 meduim butternut squash 5 medium squash, peeled and thickly sliced salt to taste. bake butternut squash just to slightly soften. then peel and cube. add b.nut squash and green squash to onions and saute for 45 min on a low flame. add water to cover and cook it covered for an additional hr. blend. in variation: the butternut squash can be subsitute with a buntche 3-4 knobs of celery or 6 potatoes.
21: Peshy Stern | PUMPKIN SOUP | 2 lb pumpkin (1 pumpkin squash) 2 chopped onions 2 sliced carrots 3 cloves crushed garlic 1 T soy sauce Saute onion and garlic until golden brown. ADD: pumpkin, carrots. OPT: 1 potato, 4 1/2 cups water. Bring to a boil. ADD: salt and pepper to taste. Soy sauce. Lower flame/. Let simmer for 1 hr. Blend 'til smooth. Serve with sunflower seeds oar pine nuts.
22: From the kitchen of Esti Frand | Courgette (Squash) Soup 4 onions, big pieces, sauteed 10 squash - peeled and sliced thinly 5 potatoes - cubed salt to taste Osem veg. soup mix. DIRECTIONS Add hot water, salt and soup mix. Cook for 3 hours. Blend with a hand blender.

27: Stern sisters' favourite... | TOMATO CHICKEN 4 chicken bottoms with skin 1 lrg can tomato juice 2 cups water 1 1/2 cup sugar 1 tbs salt - flat 1 whole green pepper 1 whole onion Put it all into the pot and - presto - chicken! | By: Mommy NY | Sweet Chicken Nuggets (can be made with cutlets) 1 cup flour 1/2 tbs baking powder 1 tbs paprida 2 tbs oil 1 tbs salt 2 eggs 1/2 cup water Mix. Dip in the nuggets. Fry the nuggets on both sides. Squirt ketchup over the nuggets. 2 T apricot jam 3 T orange juice 1 1/2 T brown sugar Leave in this sauce on a low flame.
28: Ruchy Stern's Great Meat Loaf 1 lb ground chicken 1 cup bread crumbs 1/2 cup oil 1/2 cup water 3 eggs 1 tsp salt 2 cloves garlic (garlic cubes) Mix together and bake. | Apricot Chicken By Rifky B. 1 onion sliced 4 chicken bottoms 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1 tbsp apricot jam paprika and g. powder Place sliced onions onto bottom of the lined pan. Place chicken skin side up over the onions. Sprinkle with spices. Combine the mayo and jam and smear onto the chicken. Bake covered for 1 hour and 45 min. Then uncovered for 15 min. | Rifky/ Peshy's Baked Salmon: Just Pour: salt, garlic powder, mayonnaise, honey, mustard, ketchup, 3 cloves fresh garlic (minced), onion soup mix, paprika. Mix. Refrigerate overnight. Bake for 20-25 min on 350.

30: GUESTS | BBQ CHICKEN: 2 tbs mustard 1/2 cup ketchup 2 tbs vinegar 4 tbs oil 2 tbs sugar Mix. Bake covered for 1 hr and uncovered for 1/2 hr on 350. | From the kitchen of Peshy Stern | FRIDI STEIFF: BUFFALO WINGS: BATTER - 1 cup flour 1/2 cup water 3 T oil 2 eggs 1/2 tsp salt garlic powder paprika | SAUCE-: 3 tsp. soy sauce 1 1/4 cup sweet n' sour duck sauce 1/4 cup hot n' spicy duck sauce | DIRECTIONS: Toss3-4 slices of tilapia in batter and coat well. Fru on both sides until golden. Allow the fish to stand before mixing with the sauce, to prevent fish from getting soggy. Option 1:Put fried fish pieces into a pan. Pour sauce over the Fish. Rewarm at 350 for 20 min before serving or 10 minutes for crispier fish. Option 2: Boil sauce ingredinets. Spoon sauce over fish when serving. Variation: Use the following sauce if no dick sauce is available: 2 T ketchup, 2 T mayo, 2 T apricot jam, 2 T onion soup mix,, 2 T honey, 2 T mustard, 2 T lemon juice.
31: Ground Chicken and Pastrami Layers: 1 lb dark ground chicken 1 lb light ground chicken 7 eggs 2 cups bread crumbs 2 cups water 1 tsp salt 1 flat tsp pepper 3 tbsp sauteed onions 2 cloves garlic 3/4 cup oil Layer in 2 loaf pans: meat, pastrami, meat, pastrami, meat. Bake on 450 covered for 1 hr and uncovered for 45 min. | BY: RUCHI STERN
32: BEST GOULASH BY HENNY FRAND: 1 onion,diced 1 green pepper 1 red pepper 2lb turkey goulash 2 cups rice salt and pepper to taste DIRECTIONS: Dice the onions and peppers and saute in oil for 20 min. Add the turkey goulash and seasoning and cover with water. Let it cook for 1 hr on low flame, then add rice and cook for another 1/2 hr. for 1 hr on a
33: Ruchy Weiss's Onion Covered Chicken: Line the pan with baking paper. Boneless chicken bottoms (ask to debone the chicken bottoms and take of skin) Or use chicken Cutlets Sprinkle salt pepper paprika and cornstarch over the chicken. Dsute onion ringd snf cover generously. Bake covered for 1/2 hr and uncovered for another 1/2 hr. | Cornflake chicken on skewers by Esti Frand: Cut chicken cutlets into strips. weave onto 10" skewers. Mix an even amount of mayo and honey and add a squirt of mustard. Spoon onto the chicken pieces. Mash cornflakes a bit, not crumbs. Roll skewers into it. Line up in a 9/13 and bake for 35 min on 375.

39: DIRECTION: FOR KISHKA-GRATE VEGTABLES AND ADD THE REST OF INGREDIENTS. dIVIDE THE MIXTURE BETWEEN THE 2 9" PANS. BAKE AT 350 FOR 15 MIN. FOR SQUASH-COOK SQUASH WITH THE PEEL. DRAIN AND DICE. ADD TEH REST OF THE INGREDIENTS AND SPREAD OVER THE KISHKA. BAKE AT 350 FOR 45 MIN. | fRIDI STEIFF | ROASTED ORANGE VEGETABLES | 2 carrots, cut into sticks 2 small sweet potatoes, cut into sticks 1 small butternut squash, cut into sticks 1 T olive oil and a drop of kosher salt, to taste Directions: Preheat the oven to 425. In a large bowl, combine vegetables with oil and salt. Transfer vegetables into a large pan (oven tray/cookie sheet). Bake for 25 minutes until vegetables are roasted and LIGHTLY browned. 40: Henny's APPLE TURNOVERS 1 pkg. flaky dough 1 can apple pie filling Roll out dough and cut into 3"X3" squares. Fill each square with 1/2-1 tsp apple pie filling and fold over to form a triangle. Press ends together tightly. Bake at 350 until golden-approx 20-30 min. Dust with confectioners' sugar. | BY PESHY: Carrot muffins: Cook 10 carrots, mash 1/2 cup flour 1/2 brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar 1 1/2 T baking powder 1/2 cup oil 1/2 cup applesauce 2 eggs 1 T v.sugar DIRECTIONS: Mix. Fill 3/4 way into muffin pan. Bake for 45 min on 350. | STRING BEANS 1 pkg. frozen green beans garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste sesame seeds for garnishing Pour a bit of oil in a frying pan. 41: Ruchy W's Layered Broccoli Kugel Layer 1:16 oz. bag of flat medium sized noodles, cooked and drained. ADD 0.5 cup light brown sugar 0.5 cup flour 1.5 tsp salt 0.5 tsp pepper 2 medium onions sauteed Layer 2: 2.5 lbs broccoli, cooked and mashed ADD 1.5 tsp flour 0.5 coffee whitener 0.5 tsp margarine 1 tbsp onion soup mix or sauteed onions. salt and pepper to taste Layer 3: 1 tsp brown sugar 0.5cup cornflake crumbs Bake at 350 for 1 hr. Uncover and bake for 15 min to make it crispy. | Potato Logs - R. Benedikt 3 potatoes, peeled and cubed 1 1/2 tbsp oil 1/2 tsp salt or less cornflake crumbs for coating DIRECTIONS: Boil the potatoes. Drain and mash it while it's hot. Add oil and salt adn mix well. Let the potatoes cool to room temperature. Form the mixture into 3inch logs. Roll each log into the c.crumbs until completely coated. Bake it on 350 for 20 min. Serve it hot. | Cubed Potatoes by Esti Frand: Cook up your potatoes first, not completely. Mix together mayonnaise, parsley flakes, garlic powder and salt. Pour over the potatoes and bake it until roasted.
42: G. Goldstein's idea1. CUBED SWEET POTATOES - 2 sweet potatoes, cubed Combine: 1/4 cup oil 1/4-1/2 tsp pepper 1 tbs paprika 1 tsp garlic powder (opt) Toss the sweet potatoes into the oil mixture. Spread onto a cookie sheet. Bake at 400 covered for 50 min and then uncovered for 10 min. 2.SQUASH IN TOMATO SAUCE: 4 squash, peeled and sliced 3" thick. Fry in oil to soften. Combine: 1 can tomato sauce,1/8 cup water, 2 tbs sugar and salt and pepper to taste. Add the mixture to the squash and cook on a low flame, covered, until soft. | 3. BAKED PEPPERS: Cut red, yellow and orange peppers into strips. Combine oil,salt, garlic and tons of paprika. Spread onto a cookie sheet and bake for1/2 hr, uncovered, on 400.
44: COFFEE TOFFEE PIE Crust: (double this for two 9" round pans) 2 1/2 c. oatmeal 4 oz. margarine 1 c. brown sugar 1 tbs vanilla Mix and pres into a 9" pan. Bake on 350 for 12 minutes. Filling: 10 oz. baking chocolate 4 tsp vanilla extract 1 lb margarine, melt all 3 together Add: 4 confection sugar cool a bit add 8 eggs Blend with a hand blender. Pour over crust. Freeze. Topping: 1 whip, whipped 1 tbsp van. extract, 1 tbsp coffee, 1 tbsp sugar...combine all 3 and add to the whip. Pour over fudge. Freeze. | Ruchy Stern | Ruchy Weiss - Easy Lemon Pie: 2 9" round pie crusts OR MAKE YOURSELF CRUST: 2 pkgs graham crackers 2 sticks marg Melt marg and cookies press into pan. Bake at 350 for 5-10 min. | Toppings: You can either sprinkle nut crunch OR blend 1 pkg frozen strawberries | Ice Cream: 2 toppings, whipped 2 c. sugar 8 eggs 2/3 c. lemon juice Mix together and pour over crust and freeze.
45: Pecan Pie Crust: 1 stick marg, 1 cup flour, 2 tbs sugar - mix, and press into 9" round pan. Filling: 3 eggs 3/4 cup light corn syrup 1 cup sugar 2 tbs marg - melted 1 tsp vanilla sugar 1 1/2 c. ground pecans 1/2 lb grated choc. Beat eggs, add the rest. Mix. Bake for 55 min at 350. Let cool. | Glaze: 1 cup confectioner sugar 1 tbs coffee ( dissolved in 3 tbs hot water) 2 tbs oil - spread over the pie and serve warm. | Peshy Stern
46: 3 LAYER CHOC MOUSSE 7 oz.(200 gram) baking choc 4 oz. (1 stick) marg 7 eggs 1 cup sugar You will prepare this twice.For the first layer, melt choc and marg in a pot over a low flame. Then set aside. Beat the egg whites and sugar. Slowly add the yolks and then add the cooled choc mixture. Divide between 3 9" pans and bake for 15 min on 325. Let it cool. Prepare the above mixture again and pour over the baked mixture. Freeze. Then top with the following ice cream recipe (or any vanilla ice cream). 7 eggs 7 tbs confectioners' sugar and7 tbs v. sugar 1 whip topping Beat the egg whites until stiff. Add sugars and continue beating for 3-5 min. Add yolks. Mix. Then add whip and continue beating on high speed for another 3 min. Pour over frozen mousse and freeze. 47: "A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take." - | PESHY & FRIDI'S ICE CREAM MOUSSE ROLL: Dark mouse - 4 eggs, separated 2 T sugar 5 1/2 oz. chocolate. Beat egg whites with sugar, until stiff. Melt choc and let it cool a bit. Combine chocolate and yolks. Fold the choc mixture into the whites. Freeze on a lined cookie sheet. Ice cream - 4 eggs, separated 1/2 c. sugar 2 tsp v. sugar 1/2 c. vanilla pudding 1/4 cup oil (a bit less) 1/4 cup orange juice Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar, c.sugar and juice. In a separate bowl, beat the yolks and oil with a fork. Fold the yolks into the whites Pour over the frozen mousse layer and freeze. Crunch: 1 c. flour, 1/2 c. brown sugar, 1/2 c. coconut, 1 stick marg, chunked. Pour over the frozen mousse lower and freeze.
48: Pinapple Kugel - a.k.a. pareve cheesecake. Base: 1/2 cup flour 1/2 cup sugar 50 gr. marg Combine all,until crumbly. Bake on 350 for 10 min Alt, use graham pie crust. Filling: 1 can crushed pineapple 1/4 c. flour 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. oil 3 eggs 1 flat tsp v.sugar. 1/2 tsp baking powder Blend all until smooth. Pour over base and bake for 45 min -1hr. Top with cherry pie filling! | BY: RIFKY BENEDIKT | Apricot Walnut Rugelech filling: apricot jam, as needed 3 oz. ground walnuts 1 cup sugar 1 tbs v. sugar. Spread jam thinly over the dough. Combine walnuts with sugar. Sprinkle over jam. Roll rogelegh. Bake for approx 18 min. Best with whip, marg, flour. Divide dough into 4 balls. Each ball should yield 24 regelech.
49: CIINNAMON BUNS | Dough: 8 cups four 2 eggs & 2yolks 1 cup water 1 cup juice 1 cup sugar 2 oz yeast 300 gram marg 1 v.sugar 1 tsp salt | Filling: 1 tsp cinnamon 1 cup sugar 1 cup confectioners sugar | Crumble: 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 stick mar 1/2 cup flour | Glaze: 1 cup confectioners sugar 1/2 tbsp v. extract 1-2 tbs water 1-2 tbs oil | Directions: Mix the dough ingredients and allow it to rise for 2 hrs. Divide it into 3 parts. Roll each part thinly. Dot it with marg or smear with oil. Combine filling ingredinets. Divide into 3 parts. Sprinkle one part filling over 1 part dough. Roll(not too tight) in a short and fat way. Cut into buns. Place 1" apart on a greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with the crumble. Bake at 350 for 18 min or until golden. Allow it to cool and drizzle with the glaze. | Ice cream malted 1.5 ltr ice cream (pref milky) 1 ltr milk 1/3 cup sugar 1 cap v.extract Blend all these ingredients. | Options: Choc flavour-add 1 pint milk, choclocated, melted, reblend. For coffee flavour-add 2 tbsp coffee dissolved in 1/4 cup water For strawberry flavour-add 10 strawberries and 2 bananas, 10 strawberries and 2 kiwis. Use strawberry ice cream with 1/2 pack fr.strawberries & an additional tsp v.extract.t.
50: MY FAVOURITE! YUM! | Mommy NY's Brownie Cake 6 eggs 3 cups flour 3 cups sugar 1 cup oil 2 vanilla sugar 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 cup cocoa 2 cups boiling water Beat the eggs and sugar. Add the rest... Bake on 350 for 45 min-1 hr. | Fruity Ice Cream from the kitchen of Ruchi Stern 2 bags strawberries 2 cups orange juice 2 cups sugar Freeze 2/3 in pan. Set remaining 1/3 aside. Whip up 1 16 oz. whip. Set aside. Beat 3 eggs for 10 min. Add the egg to the whip. Then add: 1 vanilla sugar 1/2 c. sugar Pour 2/3 over the first layer with the remaining 1/3 of the2nd layer. Pour over frozen layer and freeze. | Chocolate chip biscotti 3 eggs 1 1/4 cup sugar 1 cup oil 2 tsp baking powder 1 tbsp vanilla sugar 4 cups flour 8 oz chocolate chips Topping: 2 tbsp sugar 1/2 tsp cinnamon Directions: Beat eggs and sugar on high for 3-4min. Add oil, b.p, v.sugar. Mix for another 3-4 min.Add flour and Choc.chips alternating. Wet your hands and form loaves on a cookie sheet about 5" wide.Flat. Sprinkle teh topping over the loaves. Saute onion with 1 T butter. Add mushrooms, salt and lemon juice. Cover pot and cook on a low flame for eight minutes. Uncover and make the flame higher. Cook until the lisqud is evaporated. Add in teh sour cream mixture. Put into a pie crust. Sprinkle wtih shredded cheese and add some butter on top. Bake for 35 min on 375.

Fry on both sides, until golden. | Isreali Cheese Cake: CRUST-1 pack of tea biscuits, blended 6 T sugar 1 stick butter, melted Combine all 3 ingredients. Toast in oven, mixing every few ;min. Press into 2 8" pans. FILLING: TOPPING: 4 5% cheese 2 sour creams 2 eggs 1/2 cup sugar 1 egg yolk 2 tsp v. sugar 1 1/2 cups sugar 1 T marg 2 heaping T cornstarch 1/2 tsp vanilla sugar Combine ingredients and mix well. Pour over crust slowly, to prevent crust from mixing into cheese filling. Bake at 350 for 45 min. Close oven. Combine topping ingredients. Pour over cheesecake. Return to oven and allow to cool in oven half an hr.
58: FRIDI'S - CHEESE THUMBPRINTS: 4 sticks butter 2 eggs 2 c.sugar 8 oz. cream cheese, unwhipped 5 cup flour 2 tsp baking powder Combine ingredients to form a smooth dough. Refrigerate overnight. 1 pack honey graham crackers. Crush cookies in a bag. Set aside. 8 oz. cream cheese, whipped or unwhipped 8 T sugar 2 egg yolks Combine with a fork. Form small balls of dough and roll it into cookie crumbs to coat completely. Place on a lined cookie sheet. Flatten and make an indentation with thumb.Put cheese filling into a pastry bag. Pipe some of the filling into each indentation leveled to the top. Bake at 350 for 10-13 min, until the bottom is brown but the top is soft. Cookies will solidify as they cool.
