1: Memories from our 2011 vacation to Nevada, Utah & Arizona
2: DAY ONE When we arrived in Las Vegas it was 112 degrees! We drove straight to Brian Head where the temperature was in the 60's and at night dropped into the 40's.

11: Too bad we didn't bring a flashlight! | This tunnel or lava tube was formed by cooling lava and water.
12: Cascade Falls | The falls is supplied by Navajo Lake through an underground lava tube or sinkhole. The water flows a couple of miles underground before exiting here at the Virgin River rim.

31: Meeting at the Cedar City congregation. Cindi's grandparents attended this congregation 35+ years ago. We also made new friends like pioneer Katie Wilson.

46: PETROGLYPHS Over 700 years ago the Fremont people carved these depictions of people, animals and other objects. The meaning of rock art is unknown.
47: KANAB UTAH | After leaving Brian Head we attended the meeting on our way to the Grand Canyon. It was a tiny congregation with a big heart. Their territory is reportedly the largest in the US. Encompassing 16,000 square miles, it's southern border is in Arizona at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. | DAY SEVEN

59: The Sinaguas, an ancient Indian tribe, built this 20 room cliff dwelling in the early 1300's. It is unknown why they abandoned the habitat in the 1400's. | MONTEZUMA CASTLE

64: On our way back to Las Vegas we drove on Historic Route 66. There we found a quaint little restaurant that makes awesome cream pies. We had the chocolate amaretto...yummy! | TOW MATER :) | DAY TEN
65: When we arrived in Las Vegas we checked into our beautiful room at the Golden Nugget Hotel just in time to get ready for the meeting. Five congregations share this Kingdom Hall. The congregation we visited has 152 publishers.
66: Hoover Dam & New Bridge | We took a raft tour at the base of the Hoover Dam. What great views of the dam and new bridge.
67: View From Bridge Looking Straight Down | View From Lake Mead | Standing on New Bridge | Second highest bridge in the US at 840 Feet above the river.
68: We had one evening in Vegas before our flight home. We went to see Blue Man Group, walked around the Venetian Hotel and drove down the famous Vegas Strip. We also stopped at a pawn shop along the way - the one featured in the TV show "Pawn Stars". | DAY ELEVEN
