BC: Adios Cozumel
FC: Cozumel Mexico July 4 - 9, 2008
1: There was alot of prep work before we went to Mexico.!! | Tuesday before we went mom, dad, and Amy came to our house and we did hena tatoos and toenails. | Amy and I were quite nervous doing each others tatoos.
2: We started our trip heading to meet up with the Parkers at grandpa's house. We reached the airport about 7:00 AM. and Sun Country checked us in early. After she made sure Michael's passport was real we headed to security. Mom and I were flagged to be scanned in the metal detector from Star Trek. We reached our gate just in time to greet our soldiers arriving. After a quick bite of McDonalds we were on the plane.! | Aunt Shirley took us the the airport. | 1st time to use my passport! | Day 1 - Friday the 4th of July
3: Isis's car rental met us at the airport with 2 VW bugs and a chevy. With the 4 of us and 8 pieces of luggage we irritatedly headed toward Isis. Dad was so mad after squishing his glasses, cars and scooters wizzing by, one way roads, and non existant stop signs. | We were all standing around wondering how in the world we were going to fit ourselves and all our luggage is this car.! | Michael, me, and all the luggage heading to the Melia. | Ugh you want this luggage where?

6: When we finally reached the Melia we were so excited. It was more beautiful than we expected, especially after the ride through town. As we checked in they served us a fabulous drink. Our room was wonderful and the view right out to the ocean was even better. | 1st new bathing suit. | We were stunned when we saw our room. | Locked ourselved out 1st thing. | What hospitality | Our morning coffee table | I see my room
7: After snorkeling we showered and went to the dinning room. It was oriental food that night. The tables were set up beautifully and the food was great.! We walked around checking out the hotel and some of the shopping after dinner. I was going to sing Karaoke, but left early. | Our room was 706. Mom & dad were on one side, James & Lorraine were on the other side. Jimmy & Amy were right above us and the Parker's room was across the resort. After unpacking we headed down and snorkeled in front of the hotel next to us. It was awesome. There were tons of cool fish.! | Somethings probably smelly about now. | No point in going if you can't look cute. | Watching Karaoke

9: At the lighthouse
10: We then headed to Punta Sur. They had a museum we toured and a lovely lighthouse we walked up. A truck took us to a snorkeling site. It was quite a workout to get to the coral, but the fish were beautiful. | We started our morning with a coffee wake up call and a workout. | My way, no my way | Going to the beach to snorkel | Going up the lighthouse
11: After we left there we stopped at a photographic Swiss Family Robison Tree. On our map we read about a blowhole a few miles down the road. It was cool how the whole "breathed." We came back and had a refreshing dinner before we checked out the entertainment. Matt & Amy, Jimmy & Amy, Mom & dad, and Michael & Carly were dragged into a dance competition. 13: We started our day with coffee and a workout. I always love the coffee wakeup call. We all met for breakfast as usual and ate on the patio. | Day 3 - July 6, 2008 | Vamos a Chankanaab | Muy bonita | The hombre taking our picture was so funny
14: Our destination for the day was Chankannb. It was a beautiful park with a wonderful beach. It over looked a spectacular snorkeling site. It as had mock ruins, with a path you walked around, a dolphin area and covered mini cabaas. We snorkeled most of the day. They had a 15 foot statue of Jesus underwater you could swim around The fish were sightly aggressive, but beautiful. We had a wonderful time there, the water was so inviting.\

19: We found out that in Cozumel Sunday is the only day that there are no Cruise ships in port and most of the town is closed. We saw a few places open and shopped. Amy and I found matching dresses in this cute little dress shop. | One dollar parking | Lets get outa here | Te gusta mi gafas del sol
20: Amy had reserved a place for 12 at Cafe Paraiso that night. After getting a snack we dressed up in our fancy duds and headed out. | We all look so cute | Carly's tuna | Michael's steak | Carly's tuna | Michael's steak

22: Primero impressio de Adrian, he's awesome | Dad, mom, Jimmy, Amy, Michael, and Carly had booked to spent the day on a tour with Adrian. We had breakfast and headed out to Meet him at the dock. 23: First he and took us to a remote lagoon that was beautiful! Then we passed by the pearl factory that hasn't actually produced a pearl yet in 7 years. Next we headed out to snorkel. | In and ready for a great day | The water was so blue | Dad, mom, Jimmy, Amy, Michael, and Carly had booked to spent the day on a tour with Adrian. 24: First Adrian took us to a beautiful remote lagoon. Getting back in the boat we passed by a pearl factory that hasn't actually produced any pearls in 7 years. Then we headed out to snorkel again.

26: We first saw starfish that were about 10 inches long. During our snorkeling Adrian flipped a starfish over and we watched as it took about 10 minutes for it to flip itself back over. Wow, it seemed as possible to me as a piece of cement flipping over. Then Adrian showed us what extreme snorkeling was. Ruben Juan threw a rope out the back of the boat and we hung on as he pulled us. He drug us over to several coral reefs and we saw a massive blowfish. His head had to be over a foot wide. The then got back in the boat and headed over to the northern point on the island where there was a beautiful lighthouse. Before going on the island we snorkeled around a ship wreck then extreme snorkeled towards the island. | Adrian just chilling | Adrian just chilling
27: Rarely does any one go on the island and there were wonderful shells to be found everywhere. Amy, mom, and Carly all had at lease 10 huge shells. Ruben and Adrian got a kick out of that. The horseflies were out so we sprayed up and climbed the lighthouse. Dad, Michael, Jimmy, and Adrian widened the whole in the lighthouse. | Ruben Juan caught a fish and Jimmy reeled it in
28: After seeing all the sites at the lighthouse we headed to some remote Myan Ruins. To get there we walked .5 miles through a muddy lagoon. 29: After dinner there was a show at the Solon Fantasica. It was a tad bit vulgar but defiantly entertaining.

31: The ruins were so interesting. The roads they used were visible and you could see hand prints in several of their structures. 37: After the ruins we came back and Michael and I met Becky and Walter, James and Lorraine eating dinner. It was carribian night and Uncle Walter just had to make sure Michael and I had a hat as wonderful as theirs. Thanks. After dinner we attended a show that was fun. They had some games afterwards and mom and Matt were picked. With 4 other couples it was a timed race to see who could pop balloons the fastest. Mom and Matt ended up winning. They rocked. | What a beautiful sunset

We were to be out of our room by 12:00 and at the airport at 3:00. We had a little time to kill. We had our last wonderful breakfast and walked around taking some last pictures. Dad, Walter, and Jimmy took our cars back and we hung out at the snack bar. | One last picture in my favorite hall
