1: This story is about a man named Desiderus Erasmus . Who was one of the first modern people of the medieval times.

2: On October 27, 1466 a baby named Erasmus was born to the world. after his fifth year of school Erasmus and his brother where sent to a school in Deventer.

3: On 1484 desiderus Erasmus's parents died of the killer black death. His guardians sent him and his brother to a new school for the time being.

4: At this new school Erasmus learned classical Latin and developed an appreciation for Christianity. he and his brother where more than ever in this school.

5: On 1487 Erasmus was enrolled in the Augustinian monastery at steyn. The next year he took monastic vows. the monastery was teaching Erasmus more then he hoped for.

6: In 1492 he became an official priest. But Erasmus found Steyn crude and rustic. so his intellect and abilities helped him get secretary of the cambri bishop.

7: The bishop was so grateful of Erasmus's exceeding work that he rewarded him in his salary. after that they went to Paris France in 1493.

9: Not only did Erasmus's make alot of money off of the books but it also paved the way for the literary and educational classics of the Christian humanist society.

10: Wile serving he future emperor Charles V as a counselor, Erasmus wrote yet another book called Institutio Principis Christiani. This book was a guide to teach princes to rule justly.

11: Erasmus's eventual response, after an important exchange with Luther in 1524 and 1525, about the role of human will in salvation to which he contributed De libero arbitrio.

12: Erasmus died on July 12, 1536. His life will not be forgotten though. His books were part of the reformation and will always live on the Internet. The end
