About 4% is unaffiliated.

Language, Culture, and Society | This is escargot. It is a French cuisine that many people enjoy.

Official Language: The official language of France is French. | Some of the other languages include Catalan, Breton, Occitan, Corsu, Arabic, Kabyle, and Antillean Creole. | Food is very important to the people of France. | Each member of a French family has a certain role and a set of responsibilities.

 Etiquette and Customs

1.) A kiss on the cheek is just a friendly greeting in France. | 2.) Using someone's first name is a bad thing. It is reserved for the use of friends and families only. | 3.) You are expected to say 'bonjour' or 'bonsoir' when you are greeting someone. This is only if you are seeing them for a small amount of time. | 4.) If you give a flower as a gift, you should give an odd amount. Exclude the number 13. It is considered to be very unlucky. | 5.) Dress well. French fashion is completely different than anywhere else in the world. Their definition of casual is completely different than how we would view it.

Business Etiquette and Protocol | 1.) Your courtesy and degree of formality is emphasized in any French business. | 2.) Your trust is only earned through your behavior. | 3.) If you do not speak French, an apology for not knowing how to do so could help your business relationship. | 4.) For a business meeting, you should have it planned at least up to two weeks ahead of time. | 5.) Business uniform is very neat and stylish. It is not in the least bit casual.
