1: A family is a group of people affiliated by consanguinity, affinity, or co-residence. In most societies it is the principal institution for the socialization of children.
2: A nuclear family is a family group consisting of a father and mother and their children, who share living quarters. This can be contrasted with an extended family. | Nuclear Family
4: A family group that consists of parents, children, and other close relatives, often living in close proximity. | Extended Family
6: A stepfamily, also known as a blended family or reconstituted family, is a family in which one or both members of the couple have children from a previous relationship. | Step Family

9: Single Parent Family Single-parent is a parent who cares for one or more children without the physical assistance of the other parent in the home.
