A city that likes Rock, Rap, Metal, and Jeff Foxworthy This is where I’m from I’m from the suburbs The middle ground Where the water tower says everyone is someone But culture says that nobody is anyone This is where I’m from. 6: My Mother's Kitchen By: Adrian Backus Theres something dead in the oven She can smell it and its dead The smell she exclaims Is quite interesting The smell is a mixture; Of many smells Smells that are boring alone But together like nothing she has smelt before | In the kitchen

7: She's afraid to retrieve the dead item She doesn't know how long its been in the oven. She doesn't know what to do with it. She doesn't know what her husband will do with it. My aunt walks into the kitchen She picks up a green rag She retrieves the animal She wraps it to hide the smell. My uncle comes home He is surprised My aunt shows him the animal He goes to bed with a full stomach, completely happy because of his turkey dinner.

9: We learn all about punctuation And our knowledge helps us function People who drink rum, Think it dumb But they have a malfunction The teacher shows us about adverbs So we can describe our description of the Serbs They describe the word weird Instead of describing a beard Know your adverbs so you can describe how milk curds We read these things called books And dumb people give us dirty looks It’s alright I’m not uptight Because I can read the tales of medieval cooks | There is a class called language arts Where children use grammar parts They read and write What a sight To watch the children when class starts How great it is to know to write So that life will not cause blight It Is wonderful It’s fantastical When life is like a joyful flight | Language Arts

10: Stopping By Woods On Snowy Evening By: Robert Frosts Whose woods these are I think I know. His house is in the village though; He will not see me stopping here To watch his woods fill up with snow. My little horse must think it queer To stop without a farmhouse near Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year. | He gives his harness bells a shake To ask if there is some mistake. The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep. But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep.
